Apply some common sense, and reality in which everyone should know and understand. It is VERY expensive to live in CA as opposed to TX, or anywhere else for that matter. In your same link, median value of a house in CA $458K, TX $123K, almost four times higher.

A Texan earning $24,870 would need to make 44% more, or $35,880 to maintain the same standard of living in CA, according to Bankrate and several other cost of living comparisons.

Don't get me wrong, I have a residence in CA, and I would never wish it upon anyone to have to live in TX, but as far as the economy, working stiffs in TX are much better off under Perry.

Perry has absolutely nothing to do with median per capita income or median cost of houses ..

if he does maybe he can give everyone a raise and increase the value of their homes to offset the drasitc devalueation homeowners delt with when housing bubble burst like an egg hitting a sidewalk.

Perry has been in office long enough to assume responsibility for the $25B state deficit ..

yes, and even the speaker doesnt have any power that can effect median stats like some posters believe ... funny they wont address the states $25 billion dollar deficit or associate Perry with that in any way.

and for the record, the projected debit for the state's Medicaid program is around $15 billion, now that Perry has again turned down Federal funds that Texans have already paid for.
