Not so fast. After reading the fine print. That bet was Biden v trumpf!
The bet was nullified when Biden dropped out.
Yssup is free and clear !
I'll say it for him!

the bet was Biden won't be sworn in. He won't.

I'm not sure WD. What ICU wrote and Yssup booked was,

If Mr. Biden is sworn in as President, I will not contribute to this forum for ten days. I expect to hear that YR will agree to the same ten days of forum silence in the event that Mr. Trump is sworn in.

If you interpret that literally, at such time as Trump is sworn in, Yssup doesn't contribute for 10 days. And at such time as Biden is sworn in ICU doesn't participate. The fact that Biden withdrew is irrelevant. Maybe in fact that was part of ICU's reasoning. You had two old geezers running for president, and maybe ICU figured Yssup's old geezer would croak first.

Yes, perhaps there is some basis to declare the bet null and void. However, Yssup is an honorable man. If he owned casinos in Atlantic City, New Jersey that went bankrupt and a little old lady lost her life savings in Yssup Casino bonds, I figure he'd make her whole, even if not required to do so by law. As such I suspect he'll honor the bet, even though he has an out.

Logic would dictate "the forum" refers to "The Political Forum." And so Yssup should be free to publish in the Sand Box and other areas of the site during the 10 days, and you and I and others should be free to follow him in those other venues. Perhaps ICU, in a spirit of magnanimity after Trump's victory, could clarify that's the case.

Then we could have a big Kumbaya moment! And that could be a harbinger of a bright future for America, where red and blue live together in perfect harmony! In separate states of course, and with separate systems of taxation and budgeting.

You guys argue all you want. Please read the baiting comments by golfer and realize what kind of winner he is.

Thanks for posting that link Tiny.

I’ll gleefully and respectfully honor that bet, just like I did the last one in 2016. Pity Salty and Bambino didn’t have the ganas to take some of the action, but c’est la vie, as we say in Haiti.

Congratulations to all Republicans whose candidates won. Time to govern.

Perhaps now, the MAGA crazies won’t have anybody to hate on as we hold old Schitzenpants accountable for the broken promises and dipshittery we all know is coming.

Better learn to play D boys.

WEll no, not at all.

When Biden acquiesced to the Democrat's forced bait and switch, that just sealed my end of the bet.

FRankly, I am pretty much dome with this till late January.

There is no off ramp or back door in that agreement.

What say you fellow conservative posters?

Lawyers would eat this up in seconds.
Yssup is free and clear. The bet of being sworn in was based upon Biden running. He stepped down. Contract voided.

Geeze,
As much as it would be entertaining to watch YR try to not post, the Raccon's correct.

ICU, if YR's posts bother you that much, just put him on ignore for 10 days and act like he is not here.

In all seriousness, I have a few people on ignore because I don't care to read their silly shit and argue with them because I know I will rack up points for insults. If YR falls in that category for you, just do the same... you don't really insult people though, so you really don't have to protect yourself from yourself like I do. Haha

It depends on the intent of the wager.
At the time Biden was the proxy for the Dems.
So was the spirit of the wager around Dems winning this election or around Biden's health?
