I hate any social networking. I tried both FB and LI. FB took up waaaay too much of my time and I closed it after about a week. LI I opened and never went back to it, except to close it down.

If I did it at all, it would be to keep up with the teenage daughter, but her mother does that.

I got rid of FB ages ago. It's like a tabloid newspaper.
I do used LI in and it's been valuable for creating cross continent networks from my old field in the UK to the newer one over here. Plus, the recommendations don't hurt!

You're right. "Keeping up" is the wrong concept. Spying is more accurate.

It's a no-win lol.

FB was great for a while for me as it was a quick way to post pics of the US for family and friends to see in the UK...without having to send multiple emails (ok.."lazy" is probably the better word)...but the novelty wore off quickly. Back to emails...

I don't do the former, and I don't do the latter. I have received requests with pictures similar to that of the "Longoria" mentioned in the article. Normally, pretty young women don't send me pictures unless I pay them first. LOL

I just assumed these women, (if they are women) were involved in some kinda scam. I think some of them operate like a virus. I suspect they access a friend of a friend's friend list and broadcast "friend invitations," then they repeat the process using the friend list of anyone who accepts them as a "friend." Hope that made sense??

In my opinion facebook is the worst for "luring" potential clients. I only use it to connect to other escorts :-). but of course its good to have as much internet presence as possible so i use everything available from flickr to twitter to facebook to tumblr to blogger, you name it ;-)
