It was the republican Mayors Giuliani and Bloomberg, and republican president Bush who actually got them the benefits.
However, when Democrats are in power (DiBlasio and Obama) they just blame the republicans instead of making it happen, like the republicans did.
It is as simple as that.
Further supporting the statement I made earlier that it is republicans who actually care for the people, while democrats just say they care, but only care for them selves and other rich people.
When FDR (democrat) put Japanese in camps, no one cried foul.
When Jimmy Carter (democrat) banned Iranians (Muslims) from entering the US, no one cried foul.
However, the second a republican president attempts to do the same, all over sudden he is painted as racist and demagogue. Once again, proving that all democrats are doing is blaming someone else for something they are doing/did.
