NCNS are the result of someone committing to an obligation, then completely blowing you off out of disrespect.
If I say I'm going to mow your yard at 2 pm because you're going to pay me $20, I do what I agreed to. Its simple. If I can't show up at 2 p.m., it is my RESPONSIBILITY to communicate that to you AHEAD OF TIME and try to make amends for backing out of a previous COMMITMENT. If I am unable to control my life, I have no business making promises to fulfill for other people.
Now multiply that by 100 because we're talking about someone's business/livelihood/profession. If you hire contractors to roof your house, you're not going to accept bullshit excuses why they can't/won't hold up their end, let alone go out of your way to hunt them down for an answer then make excuses for them and give them second and third chances.
If you NCNS for an in-call, okay....but take into account you've wasted at least 2 hours of a clients time and given them blue balls. I guess thats okay, right?
If you NCNS for an out-call.... now you've wasted more than 2 hours, the planning involved to get the room/venue, stuck them with the room rate, and given them blue balls. I guess thats okay, too,right?
But I forgot....we're supposed to dig around multiple websites to figure out a providers schedule and pop out our Sextant and find the correct azimuth to see if they'll be able to navigate to the destination for them....INSTEAD OF THEM JUST KNOWING WHAT THEY CAN AND CANNOT COMMIT TO.
How is basic human decency get thrown out the window just because of this game? Its not complicated
Be punctual, prepared, communicate = "I show respect and appreciation for you"
be late, disinterested, don't communicate = "eh,go fuck yourself, I don't care"
Grow some fucking nuts and quit making excuses for people who wantonly disrespect you and dishonor themselves. If a provider agrees to something, refuses to communicate the breach of agreement, THEY DESERVE THEIR REPUTATION TO GET BURNED. Likewise, for clients that don't hold up their end...though, this needs no support because I'm sure providers hold nothing back when sharing information on clients.
