Even with 100 + photographer threads out there . There is still always some girl asking " is there any photographers in my area " ? Maybe it would help them keep up with who is where since a lot of ladies travel. I personally am sticking with DDBD and I think if you could have some type of showcase it would be easier to find a photographer in your area. I know its hard to believe but not everyone looks in the "Business Service for providers" . Just my .2

MagnificMedia - for you it wouldn't be a good idea because the girls who Pay you , have to use your specific photographer and you make there websites.
Then logging in as them and bumbing up your own threads and telling everyone how great you are .That is kind of a showcase and a sham or some weird type of pimping all in one. Just my .2

Lets all keep our remarks confined to the subject being discussed please.

I like Fancy's idea also. If not a showcase then a sub forum where the women could see it instead of a thread in a forum that most.of the providers don't know about. As Fancy said, this is a visual industry and we play a vital role in their marketing, not taking away anything from web designers, etc., hell I do websites but the images are also what makes their sites stand out.

I am glad a mod is reading and responded to my post and as far as advertising goes I may consider it but I would need to see stats on the ads, etc., because I know a visitor to site typically ignores banners if they can find what they need on that site so if I decide to go that route I will email you all for details. However, this is not about me but more about the women being able to find quality photographers easily and the photographers being able to market to the women easily.

Again, this all started because I do work with a lot of providers and I'm passing on their feedback of how hard it is to find someone to shoot with on this site.

I did my own website (Fancy is anal retentive about controlling her own fate) and most of my photos were taken by clients, a couple of them pretty serious in the hobby of photography, but I didn't pay them. Quite the opposite. It's been suggested to me by other providers that I ought to be writing advertising copy (something I did when I was in the newspaper biz) for them, but it's too much hassle for too little money. I mention all this so you'll know that I have no stake in what I'm about to type.

I know the proprietress of MM, and no, you don't have to use "her" photographer. It's completely up to the provider as to what photos she hands over for the website MM builds her, and whether or not she engages MM to set up a photo session for her is still individual choice. And the work MM does for the ladies who either don't have time, aren't tech savvy, or aren't familiar with the concepts of public relations and promotional advertising has nothing to do with individual ECCIE accounts and profiles, so she has no need to know anybody's log-in and most certainly is not bumping her own threads under other members' handles.

That is a completely scurrilous and unfounded accusation, and a very serious one. I'm offended for her.

Getting back to the thread at hand (sorry, Col. Zodiak, but I couldn't just let that pass) , I do agree with Nicky that not every provider thinks to look at the Business Services forum. (Heck, I paid no attention to it for a long time.) It's such a general whirlpool of everything from babysitting to car service to hair braiding, that I think a sub-forum on photography is at least something to be researched. Base it on volume: if there aren't that many phophotography ads, then never mind.

Well then I am so so sorry... I was under the impression when she told Me herself she had a new photog I could shoot with and she would make my website ( and yes I asked, her photog only) so that is where I got that part . I only know what other women have told me about loggin on there accounts.
It really makes no difference to me I was just making a statement .
So i'm sorry if anything I said was taken as disrespectful or uncalled upon.

where does it stop? that's a bit ridiculous...the argument that realtors, mechanics, etc. also provide service to the escort world so they should also want showcases just doesn't hold much water. no other business is as intrinsically connected to what an escort does as photography. no other business relationship involves as much risk and vulnerability for the escort. do you get naked for your mechanic? i doubt it...

and, not all of us maintain an escort photography website. i don't, for two reasons. first, it's not my primary photography business. it's not worth the hassle to keep yet another website running just for that, and all my escort work is under an alter ego. second, keeping images on an external website makes them easier to steal. one of my promises to girls i work with is that i keep their sensitive pictures completely under my control.

My thoughts exactly - maybe the folks in charge will start to understand what we are saying once enough people chime in so we'll see.

Well, once I needed a new motor dropped into my old Prelude, so....um.....

Seriously, you're right about the vulnerability issue, which sets erotic photography completely apart from all the other services an escort might use, yet it is an absolutely necessary compliment. A lady might be able to do without a car, an incall, a website, a closet full of lingerie and a bag of toys, but a provider with no photos will get no business.

My sentiments exactly and given how intimate the images can become, finding a qualified professional should not be like looking for a needle in a haystack for the providers but many have told me that's exactly how it feels. They have to sort through local ads and messages from people wanting to give them photos for "free" or trade and while that may work for some providers, most I have talked to say they want a professional photographer and they want to be treated professionally during the shoot, which is why I say a place where we can list our information, post travel notices, showcase our work, etc. to allow the providers to make a solid decision about the most vital part of their advertising is definitely something that's needed.

As I said, I've allowed some of my LOYAL and dear clients to photograph me and have used those images. We got a kick out of making it into a fantasy, and some of the shots turned out well because I was comfortable with them.

But I have to admit that I'm not too hot for all the offers I get to "trade" photo sessions for my services. It makes me question their seriousness about their craft. I'd rather spend money on someone I've researched who knows what he or she is doing, who will be focused on what needs to get done (which is make me look fabulous), and who hasn't just grabbed a camera to get free nookie.

I totally agree that some of the guys can take some great images during your time together - some are hobby shooters that actually care about photography and some are professionals who enjoy the hobby life also and in those cases you can get some great images and it works for everyone but I've seen way too many creepy "free/trade" messages also and I've seen the resulting images and ummm, yeah...not the stuff showcases are made of and definitely not the images that would make me want to part with my money.

I know a few guys on here that are real photographers and I've referred some of the ladies to them but I agree with DDBD and John Deere and some of the others that it would be good to have a place where the girls can easily find the pros.
