About 30 years ago there were a couple of famous Troopers working the I10 and I20 from North Texas to the La. border. One could smell accurately 3 car lengths up wind from an open window of a vehicle that fit a particular description containing an occupant or occupants fitting a particular description. Now they have dogs in almost any community along the routes.

I had read the transcripts of what was allegedly recorded, I have watched what is stated to be an undedited video which even a blind man can see has been edited.
Even though it will be my tax dollars; I hope the ladies win the case.

If I was his attorney, I would find that car fast and get some evidence of the "daily user smell".

Even smelling pot does not justify a roadside body cavity search. Maybe searching the car but if nothing is found in the car or a pat down the cops had no justification for additional searching of the girls.
