You might as well say fuck the Hispanic votes for all you republicans because these people are our heritage it's like we have to respect your heritage but fuck ours. We will not see the deportation of over 12 million people. Just think how that would look and I don't care who is president republican or democrat, there will be a backlash. You would have to rewrite the constitution when you seperate families.

What we need to do is first secure our borders, give a way to make those illegals legal with a fine and basic English and American history and government tests, seperate those who want to be Americans with the ones who refuse to cooperate with our laws. We are missing the chance of making people Americans.

If they didnt follow the current law getting here what makes you think they will follow any additional laws? How can more laws help? Basic English? Is that like basic math? Or basic hygene? We have laws, steps, processes and proceedures. None have been followed. As a matter of fact our current laws are called racsist and scorned. How would you write a law that would achieve what the current law requires and have those who didnt follow it follow it now?

We are not deporting 12 million people. I don't think it can be done. But these people have kids that were born on American soil. They are Americans, are you willing to throw these Americans out of the country because their families are illegal. It can't be done and will not be done. so we can still keep calling these people illegal or we can secure our borders, make these people who are willing to pledge their life to America become Americans, I have a couple of friends who were not citizens and they joined the military. They are now proud americans, so much they were even cheering for USA in the world cup. If these people did not commit a dangerous crime, why couldn't these same illegals earn their citizenship like that.

These people are waiting to be Americans. And these people according to you are low life criminals, they get paid shit, and are treated like shit and they still want to be Americans.

I hope all you native born Americans actually had the balls to join the military and stand for their country. I hope you pussies are not going to let these illegal wetbacks be more American than you.

So here is the problem, the notion that when your born here your legal. That needs to stop asap. Anyone who is foolish enough to believe that the illegals dont know what they get when they give birth here are silly. Its obviously well known and idiotic. Does a person on a transatlantic flight with a layover in the US who gives birth have a child with dual citizenship. Hell no, I say if you were born here to illegals your illegal. I dont know the history of the idea but I cant believe the founders intendend to give citizens ship to the offspring of law breakers. It doesnt make sense, so it cant be the intent.

Well the 14th amendment states: " all persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside"

so right now those kids who are born in America are Americans.

I know an illegal worker with an American born child. She takes the child back to MX for months at a time. They know what they doing. Seems like what is at stake is the legal tios don't want to take care of los ninos while mami is away.

We have created one hell of a mess. Even if we figure out a way to legalize every illegal immigrant now in the Country, what is to keep a fresh new wave from walking right in the next day, and the cycle starts all over.

The only real way to cure this mess is to make it no less than a Felony to knowingly hire someone who is in the Country illegally. With penalties that include prison time.

And I am not talking about prosecuting some on site Forman. Have Federal Marshals march into the Board of Directors of the large companies, (such as housing developers and hyway contractors), and haul them out in cuffs.

Of course, with the powerfull Home Builder and Construction, (all types), Lobbies, that is not going to happen.

My point the 14th doesnt say born of an illegal! Thats the problemo, founders were to smart they would never have meant that "all persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside" included those born to people ILLEGALLY in the country or who were just passing thru .. ie transcontinental flight.

With all due respect, some of you are missing the point on the 14th amendment. 1st of all it wasn't written by our founders and I'm not sure what there position was/would have been on this subject. We might be surprised.
Second, the 14th was ratified as part of reconstruction and the main objective was to give American citizenship that the Dredd Scott decision denied to blacks and to give citizenship to all freed slaves.

So those slaves were born in America? Were their parents born in America? In fact their parents did not even have rights and that's why they say if you were born in America you are Americans.
