It bums me out that I've been bashed on a thread where I was asking for constructive suggestions. I have gotten some kind advice from providers via PM, and I want to thank them. As to why I would post this on this board, I figured that it must have happenned to someone else, and they might have some ideas about how to deal with disclosure. The comment from one person that I should just lie seems harsh, but considering 50% of the population has had this stuff at some time, may be the best there is...my thinking is that it may have been there dormant, or it may have been new, but I have to try to save my marriage. Obviously thhis is my fault, but for the record, I always wear condoms with providers. I don't see providers that often, and I obviously haven't seen any since I notice the symptoms, so I'm not going around spreading this stuff, and I'm not really that worried about the disease itself since it is so common and has no real health impacts, but I am freaking out about how it will impact my life. I still haven't told her, and the soonest i can get to a doctor is in two weeks, so i don't know what i'm going to do.

I just want to let you know good luck with your doctor. I am a former escort who is now married, I was an escort for the first six months or so that I was going out with the man that is now my husband. About a week and a half ago, I found out I had an STD that now has affected my fertility for the rest of my life, so I can't have children. When I found out, I had come to tell my husband and it was a big deal, so I kind of understand what you are going through, it happens to many, many people, I was always very careful and used condoms, but it still happens. Good luck with everything.

If your above statement is true...and you mean it truly. Than come clean totally and BEG for forgiveness. If she decides to stay with you at least you will have nothing to hide, and can begin to build your marriage once more. Or you can lie. There is no easy way to fix this and any way you go must be painful emotionally

Here is the key question- has your wie had a pap smear lately and where the results abnormal? If they were ok that is a good thing!
Alot to think about. HPV can happen even with rubbers because it comes from skin to skin contact. The condom wilkl cover the head but it is the shaft that can expose skin. HPV in and of it's self is not all that big of a deal to men unless you are a gay male doing it bareback. The huge deal is to females and homo's. HPV causes cervical cancer in females. It can also cause the ass cancer in gay males. The warts will fall off and the human body can keep the virus "killed" enough not to show symptoms. There are like 80 strains and almost 1 in 3 have HPV and in men it is usually no symptoms unless you get one of the strains that can cause the warts- there are many strains of it that dont cause the warts in men but will cause cervical cancer in females.
The good news is that it is sort of like herpes you can get it a long time ago and just now be having an outbreak.
Only thing to do is go to the doctor and get checked if you have it then you need to make another appointment and take your wife with you and have the doctor explain that this is something that could have happened years ago and just now coming out.
THEN YOU need to make sure your wife goes to the gyno and get her internal girl parts checked because bumps on your cock are not going to end the world but if she gets it and it goes long enough without knowing it could be a big deal.

Actually if it is hpv - which, sometimes you just get skin tags, it may not be - having warts is a good thing. Out of the 80 strains of hpv, only 4 or 5 cause cervical cancer. None of those strains also cause warts.
Just goes to show you can't be too careful I guess! Good luck with your wife.

I applaud asstronaut for trying to get information on an STD, since this is a sex information board. I don't understand the bashing.
I will say, however, that he should refrain from seeing escorts till he sorts this out.
I had a gent last month that had from what I could tell, alot of wart like things around the base of his penis. I declined the appointment after going into the bathroom and literally drenching my hand with bleach(ouch). He wasn't happy but I explained that he needed to have it looked at. I gave him his money back and told him he needed to see a doctor ASAP. It's amazing what providers have to go through to stay safe!

I saw a doctor. He said it looked like a mole, but coould be a small recurrence of the HPV I had years ago. He said that 85% of women have it if they have had more than one partner, and about 35% of men have it. He said that if thats what it is, I've probably had it for years and either beeen asymptomatic or just havent noticed it. Honestly, it looks alot like a freckle. He also said that I had some folicle thing I didnt understand that was not an STD. He made me feel alot better. I have a dermo appointment next week related to another skin problem, and at that appointment I'll point it out to my dermo, and the clinic doctor says he'll say the same thing. I'll then tell my wife and make her go to the doctor with mew, so he can emplain that i've probably had it since college. Hell no I won't be seeing any providers. I'll be living under a microscope for the next 3 years.

Now I am totally confused...first you said you didn't know what it was and in the same breath say "It might be an outhreak from exposure to it 8 years ago." Umm news flash, your wife probably already has it then! Now you admit to the fact that you have in fact had this for YEARS, and never bothered to alert the providers you were seeing or get cbj only? Nice!
Correct me if I am wrong, but this is lifelong so I am assuming it does not just go away...maybe just the symptoms. Good grief sorry but I don't feel sorry for YOU at all! You have probably infested half of Texas by now!
I also call bs on the 85 percent of women having it statement...that is absurd! I can say I don't know one person that has this, but I do know a ton who have Herpes lmao. By that statement every escort in the world would pretty much have this being I am sure we have all had "more than one partner."

Dude you don't need to worry about seeing any providers as you are now on every DNS list that exists.

Yea right! The guy could be a bigger germ farm than that monkey in "Outbreak," and he knowingly saw providers for bbbj having this disease! If he had it 8 years ago, then he still has it now! Just because there is no outbreak does not mean it can't be transferred.
Am I naive enough to assume that I have never ran across a guy with an std? No, but I know I have never contracted anything thus far lol. If I have a cold I alert anyone wanting to see me, so this is beyond ludicrous to just omit!

I know I'm going to catch hell for this, but I gotta say, it comes with providers' territory. You sign on for the life, and this is one of the downsides: stds. The only way to be std free is not have sex. Oh, I know, there are other ways to catch stds, but the chances of doing so outside sex is pretty slim.
