Backpage Question

The problem with backpage is that anyone can post and anyone can browse/respond to an ad. Both provider and client roll the dice. On sites like eccie, date check and p411, both client and provider are verified and the sites have restricted access (pre-verification and user/password security).

I've often wondered about this as well, EW. In some small towns where BP is the only DIRECT advertising option, why do clients look down on BP adverts?

I make it a point to mention my long-standing history, reviews, verification affiiliations, and I screen, but I still get the emails from P411 gents saying things like 'I just saw your BP ad. I didn't know you were that type of girl.' I can understand if I had some $50 BnG special, while I advertise for 250 on P411, but my prices, and marketing style is totally different from the average newbie.

To me, BP is just an advertising venue. And when I go out of my way to let you know that I'm no ripoff artist, why is it that I'm still lumped in with the ripoff artists? Do you fellas not take into account the content of a lady's ad?

I'm right with you on that, Tiffany. My history includes a lot of reviews (which I actually don't like having but oh well!), a website that has been around for several years and a pretty decent vocabulary. And new pictures.

But if that is the only venue to actually advertise on, or it's a main one, I don't get the discrepancy. The first time that I went to Chicago, EVERYONE was telling me to not advertise on backpage. If I had followed that advice, I would have been sitting around all day and not working.

I'm glad to hear that I haven't been the only one to hear words against backpage and still decide to use it. No matter what anyone says everyone can admit that it does get alot of attention, and if you do your screening right, no need to worry.

It's a hit or miss, but since u are the one who posts on there as many others of us do because face it, guys on these types of boards get tired of seeing the same Poonanners all the time, so they look on Bp regardless lmao. U are the one who can weed through the.
Bullshit and pick whom u choose to see. I as well utilize Bp as that is where most oft clientele comes from. If it is a new area u are traveling too, throw an ad up and be wise to maybe crop part of ur face out. Tats on body, cover them when going in public. Main thing is to screen ur ass off and adhere to it each and every time. Knock on wood, I have been in this industry for 13 years and never once gotten in trouble.

In every business you got to do what it takes to gain business.
Now ladies, if BP ads has helped you in the past to gain work keep on doing it and don’t listen to other people. After all it’s your business and you’re the one who knows best what works for you!!
When I started out hobbying, I had no knowledge of TER, P411 or Eccie. So your BP ads with as much information you can provide, such as your website, reviews and so on, will help you gain new clients.
Now based on your total package (looks and level of services) and circumstances, you may want to have a business strategy of what type of clients you would like to target.
And Like Mina said "Main thing is to screen ur ass off and adhere to it each and every time".

Actually with some effort one can avoid BP and do like I do. SB's. And in the Birmingham area it is a win for the guy. Most I have ever paid a month is around $1,200 in various "Must Have" gifts (handbags, shoes, clothing) and that gets me around 5 hours a week with each one (3 currently going ages 21, 23, and 26) and a rotating weekend (and yes they know about each other). And when I grow tired of one I ditch her and get another. So thus I get the change of pace with twenty somethings for a lot less than the escort market in Birmingham dictates. So why would I bother with BP? Well besides looking at some of the low ball ladies who have to go $60 an hour "specials" to get anything.

That is what gives BP a bad rep. Well besides all the crouching thug hidden pimps you risk running to along with the grab the cash and run types. And then 90% of them stay in crime infested rat trap no-tels. That gives the legit ladies who might branch out and place ads on BP an uphill battle due to those types..

I use backpage regularly. If I didn't, most of the time I would have no or very little business.

Eccie gents are more likely to spot me on bp than to spot me here, so so far it seems to work very well for me.

Backpage is just for advertisement. Men can tell the difference between quality escorts and streetwalkers. Wait a minute I take that back.........no they can't (avoid the midget!!!).

I don't believe the majority of men who use the net to find ladies who P4P have knowledge of review sites like this or P411/ter/datecheck. Fox news has made the entire planet aware of Backpage and that's the first place new gentlemen go look. Most men don't think to google "birmingham escorts".

The only thing I hate about backpage is the calls from fools I get from 8 to 3pm (every scrub who lives with their babymama in Westend who calls as soon as she goes to work and the kids are at camp); but that's where i get the majority of my clients. I might get one call a week from Erosguide.


Backpage also seems to be the medium most used by out of town businessmen and they like to spend money.

I like browsing on BackPage, but only consider contacting a provider who has reviews on eccie -or at least is a member and has a profile. When they use BP, it at least let me
know they are in town, but ads on eccie works just as well for me.

Since I am not a member of any of the other pre-screening sites like p411, and
only have seen a couple of independents, I do not have enough references and end up going to an AMP, which I consider fairly safe. Several of the women there have give me their digits, and we have arranged for sessions at their own place. Guess it makes them independents, but not usable as references.
I find it way too risky to go with an unknown BP provider for all the reasons mentioned above.

You could say the same about Eros also. You just have to know what to watch for and what to avoid. Most of the gentleman in Alabama don't seem to know anything but BP and some of the nicest clients I have met came from BP and some of the biggest time wasters have came from Eros. A lot of the gentleman I meet don't want to belong to any discussion boards and don't want any login's or userid's linking back to them but they are still nice guys. Just be careful and screen well for both the guys and the gals. If my email dies down, I can go check and my BP ad is expired. In some locations it's the biggest source of biz.

I am a huge fan of P411 and DateCheck also.

Never did Eros.. And I can see what most guys wouldn't want something tracked back to them. I have the advantage of having two social security numbers and two birth certificates (both 100% legal) in two seperate names. In all my years of doing this only one former provider has ever known my birth given name. So I don't worry. When I was born in New Orleans the agency which cared for my birth mother had to legally get me a name and social security number. When I was adopted 4 weeks later my birthparents were not allowed to see any documentation and were forced to get me yet another social security number and birth certificate from Alabama. Thus when I turned 18 and was able to get records unsealed I had two of those documents. I just use one for real life and one for hobbying.

And date check and p411 are quite easy to get involved in from a guys standpoint. Makes the screening easier from my experience.
