AFF has posted stuff like this with their "Banner Ads" for Years. Usually they are photos of models and occasionally photos of the few hot members (usually either out of your area, inactive or from the WFW section) culled from the Website. My problem is that they are now posting video clips in the Banner ads. In some cases is its like getting a mini free porno movie. Not that there is anything wrong with free porn. And given that AFF makes the Male members pay for everything on their site now its nice to be able to get some kind of freebe out of them. But it does send the wrong message when trying to impose rules or guidelines on Provider's posting on this site. But they are a paying Advertiser and not a normal board member so they can get away with it.

As I said JD, having image standards in place that you expect Members to follow and then allowing an advertiser on the site to blatantly violate those same standards sends the wrong message to Board Members. But I (like you) am just a Member of the board. And the decisions regarding what an Advertiser can and can't do are handled by the Board Owners and their representatives. Maybe if they get enough negative feedback something will be done. But as long as Money is changing hands, I doubt it. I just minimize and ignore the AFF ads when I go on the Board. And really that's all we can do for now.

It has to do with 2257, also the people in the ads that are totally nude and used for advertising are not real live members, they are fake, used to entice people to use their site. the people are models, so either they purchased stock photos, with the identification tracable to the actual model, and are accessible if requested by LE or they produce them, which they would still have to keep the models real info. ECCIE isn't going to do that.
Also when you're a affilate of AFF you get to chose which ads you like to use on your site, from very mild to wild, it's up to the affliate to choose which one they want to use

I must agree with the OP.

Yes those are advertisements but so are the photos that are posted on here by us. We are advertisers. How are they permitted to put photos up like that and we are not? (Not that I would.) If you want us to pay, I am sure that could be arranged instead of having those mass marketers on here that apparently not many of us like to see on here.

I feel that charging the members of this board would be better as opposed to putting advertising up all over the place.

Do you want to give the folks here a copy of your photo id with your real name, address and age plus any alias you may use. ECCIE does not want to go through the issues of having to maintain those records,
The owners of this board are affilates of AFF, AFF isn't paying them anything to run their advertisement on this site, it allows ECCIE to run it ads on this site. AFF didn't put up the advertisement, ECCIE did, AFF is paying ECCIE when people sign up as members to their site.
