The problem is that they don't have accurate systems in place to stop some possible fraud. Since the systems are not in place, you can't prove fraud. Voter ID should be a no brainer, but Democrats won't allow it because they have the ability to commit fraud in the vote without being caught.

Don't spend your life using the "I came up with an idea, so it has to be disproven."

That is the fantasy land of UFOs, conspiracy theorists, and everything that relates to that.

Which closely resembles the world of the scam artists.

You are promoting scam elections, and believe the liars.

There you go.....asking for something unproven, with no evidence, to be disproven.

That is McCarthyism at its best. "Prove you are not a communist."

Read up on that era to see where it leads you. A horrid time in American life, filled with fear.

I get something shady every day or so via my e-mail or text, trying to convince me into revealing my sensitive information. There is money in it and so they keep trying.

Going to an electronic only voting system would attract really sophisticated hacking. The all-mail-in balloting has me really worried too for similar reasons.

It is my belief that the bulk of voting should be in-person with positive ID using voter registration rolls that are current. Limited absentee and mail-in balloting should be available, but it should be " . . .legal, safe and rare . . ."

Yes, that was indeed a horrid time in American politics and culture. Black-listing and persecution through inuendo; the original cancel culture it was.

And yet . . .

From KGB files released and published after the collapse of the Soviet Union, it turned out that McCarthy was right about Soviet infiltration of government.

Didn't make McCarthy correct in persecuting people like that, but he was right about Soviet interference and influence.

Unfortunately for you several states currently have all mail-in voting and mail-in voting is how most people vote in many other states.

In 1992 89% of voters voted in-person on election day. Today that number is 30%. By mail was 7% in 1992. 43% today. Early in-person was 2% in1996 and 26% today. Obviously mail-in voting is the #1 way to vote today and has increased 20% in 4 years.

When anyone can prove to me that there is substantial risk of fraud via mail-in ballots I will listen to the complaints. As of today, there is no proof that mail-in voting is not totally secure. Unless you buy into the flawed methodology and conclusions presented in 2000 Mules.

That mail-in voting is predominant in some states does not validate it as a secure method that excludes the possibility of lost or delayed delivery. Those voters in Arizona who delivered their mailed ballots in person on election day are absolutely sure that their ballots were delivered to the proper place.

I live in rural Nebraska, and we have had some special elections that were mail in ballot only. They sent post cards out to every registered voter saying there was a special election and you had to fill out a card and return it to be sent and actual ballot. The time period for sending the ballots back was somewhere around 10 days or 2 weeks, it was realistic time frame, not this several month fiasco some states set up during covid. They knew how many ballots they sent out, and now many they got back. The system was set up to be as accurate as possible.

This is easier to do in areas where you send out less than 5000 ballots.

The method of mail-in voting has been scrutinized since it began and there is no proof at all that it is prone to fraud.

I'm still waiting for you or anyone else to tell me how fraud can be committed on a wide-scale basis with mail-in ballots.

Easy, send every registered voter a ballot even though they do not request a ballot. That leaves 20% of the voters that will never vote ballots out there. So they send 100 residents of a nursing home ballots. 60 of the residents ask about voting and getting ballots, 40 residents don't care about voting or have some type of dementia so they don't know if they got a ballot or even if there is an election. A nursing home staff member takes those 40 ballots and fills them out for the candidates they want.

But just because there is election fraud does not mean the outcome of the election would change.

And when the ballots are received in the voting precincts people from both sides of the aisle compare the signatures on the ballot to the signature on record. If they can't agree, a 3rd person is called in. That is why the counting process in Arizona and Nevada is taking so much time.

Second, in your example a "nursing home staff member" somehow gets his hands on 40 ballots that are delivered by mail to individuals. How does that person accomplish that? He walks into the rooms of 40 people and walks out with their ballots? He is committing a felony if he submits a single fraudulent vote. I doubt many people would risk that.

You obviously don't have a clue about mail in nursing homes, or hospitals. Try visiting a nursing home sometime
