How do you identify real "independent" providers?

Your list is interesting to say the least.

1. I have a job but I work from home most of the time. I get on ECCIE when I need a distraction throughout the day, and can be available for appointments with enough notice.

2. I don't work enough to keep a private incall. If you're making the assumption that a lady will entertain you at her home, you are sadly mistaken. It could be said that pimped girls would be into apartment sharing. But that would be an assumption. And there are independent ladies who work full time as escorts.

3. Emails are available on phones, in which it takes two seconds to reply. Replying to emails and PM's during off hours could also be a sign of a high volume girl. Again, another assumption.

5. There is no accounting for taste. A lot of ladies are young, or just have sparkly personalities. But sparkly ads are just meant to grab your attention.

6. I would consider myself an active participant of this site, but I don't advertise much. Because of my fluctuating availability, I only advertise when I have the time.

While I applaud your search for dolphin safe tuna (that made me laugh), I must agree there is no fool proof way to know if a lady is pimped. You should concentrate on meeting a lady that makes you comfortable, from the introductory email to the time you leave. There's nothing like a woman who loves what she does...

Thanks, that was nicely written . I knew it would be easy to punch holes into things I've noticed. There is no hard fast rule, and I'm certainly not a detective. I was just listing some tendencies I've noticed with providers I've seen who I believe are independent. Half the independents I've seen so far work in hotels.

The glitter part was a bad joke.

I actually DO believe these to be true, at least when I read it, all hit perfectly for me (an independent provider). Js

Everything you mentioned is "Observable". The whole pimp thing is not. That's a relationship status. That's like saying, "I don't see providers with husbands/boyfriends/SOs."

How would you know? I'm not knocking anyone's preference. I'm just saying that there are something's you won't actually know unless you "know".

When you email her you make a mention of something super specific.. Or, talk about your favorite sports team.. When you get there in person you ask, "remember when I was telling you about...... " and just wait for it....

If you get a reply, odds are she is doing all of the work.
If not, well.. She is either ditzy or someone else is doing all of the work.

In some respects I agree with you S2B, in that it's very hard to "know", particularly with someone new to the scene. But I do know that after adopting certain rules of thumb I've reduced the number of occurrences where I found myself unknowingly meeting with a pimped provider.

Unlike my early hobby years when I never saw the same girl twice, I now establish more regular relationships, and the truth eventually comes out. Sometimes it's taken me 2 or 3 sessions before I figured it out, but eventually I do.
