Herpes is apparently sort of connected to the whole possibility of HIV through bbbj. If someone has herpes they may have sores you cant see and if they have HIV too they can spread it through the invisible sores.

Ok, I have to chime in here!! I wont give all my background but you can research what I am telling you.. 8 out of 10 people in this great society are carriers for herpes!! Yes 8 out of 10! It just takes something for the disease to come to light and there are numerous different types of Herpes just remember HIV comes from a form of Herpes!

Now as far as getting AIDS from a Blow Job well yeah its possibly! When the stars are perfectly lined and all the circumstances are in just the right order but I would be worried more about all the other diseases. If you are worried about these things then why are you even in the business/? or why are you even seeing the ladies! '
I am more worried about the simple viruses then the AIDS and Herpes! Everyone should read about Herpes and then you might understand it just a little more, so it pretty much means you can look to your left when you are at the theatre or look to your right and one person besides you is a carrier and they are just not spreading it! so there you go!

I think you're safe. I personally am not worried about it. And I have found with research, there's someone out there who will tell you whatever you want to hear and they are all reasonably trustworthy sources.

I'm with you on this girl, I enjoy what i do also, but yeah it is a little scarey a times when you think about this person was with this person then came here then i went there and then we did that she did him like that and what? LOL... But I think if we are all trying to play safe as in using a rain coat when we get to the real biz down there than maybe it will keep the bad things away. I too do worry about the same thing that you just posted today in this thread, everyone should. I myself do not normally do CIM, can't say I never have or i'd be a liar but I don't do it on a regular basis, because it just seems a little risky... my opinion only... Great thread by the way.

suck a dick, bare or don't.. everyone here is engaging in activities that puts each other at risk.. you have to hope that the person your with is safe.. i mean a freakin condom don't protect you from everything..nor is 100%, that..and i mean girls are more than eager to DFK..possibly with a guy that has had cold sores that may just not be present when you kiss..doesn't mean they don't have herpes.. bleeding gums, bit their tongue..whatever..these guys go down and lick your cooch..with a herpes mouth..

a guys balls, etc touch you when having sex.. etc

sucking a bare dick is the least of ones worries..

Ahhhh--I knew Ms. Luv would chime in on this eventually. I especially love how she adds a soft, romantic glow to the conversation

hey, facts are facts.. someone betting on a thin piece of plastic or whatever.. or some guy bustin his nut in a girls mouth puts one at risk for HIV.. i am much more worried about the std's i would catch from our pubic areas touching, etc..then cum i catch in my mouth causing hiv..

if I have to sweat that stuff..i need to leave the hobby.. i would be to stressed to work, being safe is always paramount to anything.. but dwelling on it, worring about, does nothing..

and yes, that is my romantic glow.. unfortunately I don't believe in hiding behind the smoke and mirrors and posting a certain way in order to please clients

Don't let this info scare you. There is a lot of fun to be had and still be safe.
You need to read the cdc web site.

Hep A - goes away on it is own. There is also a vaccine against it.
Hep B - can go away or be chronic. There is a vaccine against it.
Hep C - treatable with 50 - 80% cure rate. no vaccine for the public yet.

HPV and herpes can lay dormant with few or no outbreaks. Can still be spread with no outbreak during a "shedding" period. It is more of a skin to skin contact thing. A rubber is not going to fully protect you.

the odds of getting HIV are 1 in 420,000... and exponentially less orally with no skin breaks/lesions in the mouth. It really needs blood/blood transfer.

Saliva and stomach acids are are hostile environments for viral STD's.
So, feel free to BBBJ and swallow.

That's what we in the hobby call being a "good gurl."

I'm not going to get in a whizzing contest with a thread seagull. Your wording suggest hepatitis should be handled lightly. This is one of the blood borne pathogens that I do not like the odds of having. Yes you can treat hepatitis and prevent A and B if you take the vaccine before you get it. But since more than 4,000 in the USA and 600,000 around the world will die from heptatis B this year you still think it goes away? 8,000 to 10,000 will die from Hepatitis C, again not my kind of odds.

No I never said these were from BBBJ. Is it possible? Yes. Is it probable, No

But you just did! and hurling insults to boot. Like I can be easily dismissed. I don't think so, Scooter.

Don't blame your inferences on me!

Those are worldwide statistics. How about the US? I am not barebacking Haitians in the ass.

But then again, we got a lot of drug abuse in the community. IV drug use is more common than most of us think it is.

There are risks associated with this hobby. If you can't handle it, then get out or glove up. I regularly have posted on topics such as these for many years on many boards. People need to know facts to make responsible decisions for themselves. We are all adults here and can make our own decisions.

How likely is HBV infection to become chronic?

The risk for chronic infection varies according to the age at infection and is greatest among young children. Approximately 90% of infants and 25%–50% of children aged 1–5 years will remain chronically infected with HBV. By contrast, approximately 95% of adults recover completely from HBV infection and do not become chronically infected.

Why not cite your source? I have never seen stats that high. I have never read anywhere that HIV is born from the herpes virus. By "great society" you mean the hobby community? the porn community? America? The world?

CDC states 1 in 4 women and 1 in 8 men have herpes. I do believe it is higher in our community. We are the second highest risk group behind teens. source: http://www.cdc.gov/std/Herpes/STDFact-Herpes.htm#common
