Haven't been able to find a "real" corned beef on rye in SA, have to go to Austin, if you know of a place, please share. By real in mean NY style.

I have to say, after living in North Jersey and working in manhattan for many years, real delis do not exist down here. Nor do good bagels or Italian food!
I once went to an Italian place and asked for manicotti, the waiter replied "what's that". Asked a deli for Capicola on a roll, did not what that was. These are staples in north jersey.....
Now as for BBQ.....Texas wins!

Default Cheesesteaks

If you like Philly Cheesesteaks, check out Boston Subworks at the corner of West Ave. and Nacoma, close to the airport off of 281. Have only tried the awesome cheesesteak, best in SA, but there are other options on the menu.

Schilo's downtown. I'm shocked that it hasn't been mentioned.
