This are the ships that I served on. I went to the Persian Gulf....twice, did drug interdiction off the coast of Florida, and confronted Soviet ships in the Arctic Ocean. There is nothing that you can tell me about the navy or naval tactics. Now if you want to take exception to what the media writes (48 hours ago it was one ship, 24 hours ago it was two or more ships, and yesterday it became 9 or 10 ships) then you can do that. But to put an aircraft carrier in harms way for a publicity shot is sheer stupidity. If the TR was not moving to an new homeport (San Diego) then where would a carrier have been found to do this?

By every intimation in our first post, you would assume that no destroyers were sent, since you mentioned that a carrier was being put in harm's way, leaving us to assume no destroyer were there. And you lied, again. That article mentioning the 9-10 ships was from TWO days ago and you clearly state in the highlighted portion above that two days ago it was only two or more ships. Your inability to find and decipher news reports is your own fault, not theirs. I thank you for your service, but it does not preclude me from calling you out when incorrect. Your hatred of Obama clouds your intellectual ability to be honest in any given situation. I'm here to correct that.

You laid out a strategy that was false, not aware of the other ships present, simply because it gave you an opportunity to once again demean the president. I'm all for calling him out when it's necessary, but this isn't oen of those times.
