Economic Recovery
The central issue in this election should focus on continuing the economic recovery.
Apparently some of you have not noticed or simply just refuse to give him due credit, but President Obama has reversed the downward spiral this country was in when he took office in spite of the countless obstacles thrown in his way only to weaken him without regard to the welfare of the country.
I have not seen Gingrich propose anything along those lines except putting children to work as janitors.
. . . This absurd idea of a moon colony at this point in time would only drain money away from our already depleted treasury.

FG is so far removed from reality, he might as well be on the moon.

I haven't posted here in a while but the Obama clip was funny. Great campaign material for anyone running against him later this year. Sadly the GOP and their clowns can't get their act together and nominate a real leader, so we'll be stuck with this guy for another four years.

If you to be honest (for some of you this is impossible) the space program didn't go through trillions of dollars. It probably didn't go through even one trillion dollars. A bargain if you consider the program is in excess of 50 years of service for 800 billion dollars.
We need to get back into space before other countries do. Unlike the US, they will make claims on what they land on and have said so. We went to the moon for all of mankind but the Chinese will go to the moon for communism and the moon itself.
I love it that back in 2008 in response to a direct question, Chairman O said that he wanted to expand the manned space program. What a liar.

How quickly we forget. 2001: A Space Odessey is on right now. The computer HAL 2000 was put online in 1992. The Jetsons cartoon show was set in 1999. We had such high hopes at one time. I've always maintained that going into space was like going to college. There is no absolute guarantee that things will get better because of the experience but common sense demands that you admit that more options open up to you because of it.
Reagan was mocked back in 1985 with his "STAR WARS" program. Mocked by both American liberals and the Soviets. Reagan never called it Star Wars, he called it SDI. Reagan also said that it may take 20 years before we see some results. By 2005 we had developed the cruise missile, the Patriot anti-missile battery, the Aegis tracking system, lasers that can take down a missile at apogee, the Phalanx anti-missile battery, and so many other things. Reagan was right and the naysayers were wrong. Gringrich is talking about another long term investment in science and exploration like the one that paid off so handsomely in the 1960s, 70s, and 80s.
I personally don't like Gringrich but I do share his belief (and it is the belief of many) of living in space within a generation.

How quickly you forget, J.D. Lyndon LaRouche has already got a colony and has staked out Mars for the U.S., hasn't he? Newt should claim our Sun solely for the U.S. He is smart enough to go "all the way" without being incinerated. He'll just go at night.
