If your list your preferences, then it is on the guy if he gets turned away at the if he goes to see you knowing he doesnt fit your... qualifications.
If you say "clean hygiene is a must", and the guy shows up funky then he needs to have the door closed in his face.

This biz is WAY too intimate to not be comfortable, whether its age, race, weight, etc.
And so long as you put it in your ad or website CLEARLY, then there shouldn't be any misunderstanding.
One lady got a little miffed a few years back b/c some guy under 30 went to see her and she sent him packing. It seemed her "AGE" requirement was in her FAQ, and I guess she expected everyone to read everything in her website.
Make your preferences clear and there shouldn't be any problems.
GUYS only see the girls they want and no one complains about that???

Mandy, you don't want to see really young guys...........what about rhe other end of the spectrum? Are you "geezer friendly"?
I am concerned about a provider being uncomfortable with an old man. I always ask up front if they are ok with it. Most are and some actually prefer us older gents. I have been turned down only once because of age. AND that provider later got into a shitstorm on this site about some other issues. No , I had nothing to do with it...lol
Just let us know up front what you prefer and what the limits are and all should go well.

The main thing is to let us guys know, in advance, what restrictions you may have. AND, BE CONSISTANT WITH THEM! Sure, we're all aware of the ymmv factor but try and not do "this" with one guy and not "that" with another guy. It causes alot of confusion.
btw - baby, you have no, nada, zip, zero worries about me being too young for ya'.

I see many good comments throughout this thread... and I would agree completely with CB, this is a very intimate hobby.
I would value communication up front where a provider would state cleary their expectations and requirements in their ad and near their contact info. I try to do my homework up front but I don’t always read FAQ's from every provider.
Second, I think providers should politely reiterate during the initial contact the key requirements and ask for client confirmation.
After that I believe it is the providers preference who to carry on with. Personally, if there was not a fit in the initial meeting I would be ok ending it then and there. YMMV.
Simply put I would agree with jacksparrow:

Clients have the upper hand, we get to see the goods "Pics" beforehand. This means the physical attraction component is already there for us.

well i dont mind older gentleman, i have seen clients as old as 80, couldnt do too much! but non the less i did see him. I enjoy most peoples company, it just seems my mentality can not accept the younger clientell calling, so to answer your questions no i dont mind seeing older people, however there have been a times where the chemistry just did not match up and the appointment turned out horrible, so i try to work it on an individual basis.

Mandy ... I think you need to re-word your young NBA policy ... alot of guys don't really read the ad and are over looking it.

A simple "No black gentlemen, no gentlemen under 30. Sorry, fellahs." will suffice.

It's your business - run it as you see fit. Obviously, the guys who fall into the categories that you'd prefer not to see aren't going to like it, but ultimately it's your body and your decision.
Heck, hobbyists typically have preferences about who they'd prefer to see. I don't see anything different about a provider having those same preferences. And if business is good enough so that you can be choosy about you she schedule with, you must be doing something right.
