I don't think anybody mentioned CORT furniture:

https://www.cort.com/furniture-clearance

Good stuff.

How much are you willing to spend?

Cantoni - has modern furniture a little on the pricy side.

Rooms To Go - is also a modern choice, more budget friendly. I have a leather sectional from their Cindy Crawford line that is still in good shape and comfy as ever. Purchased it years ago.
# Has lasted through countless dogs claiming territory during nap time and playtime.

I really like Zulily (look in the home section, it changes all the time, so you have to check back a lot): https://www.zulily.com/

Also: Tuesday Morning (online more than in store): http://www.tuesdaymorning.com/

Another thing you can do is go on Craigslist and do a search of Model Home Staging and there is some Houston company I can't think of it right now, but they have a warehouse or showroom of furniture used for home staging. Also, many interior designers have furniture they they get rid of from time to time.

A lot really depends on what your budget is. If you've got a pretty big furniture budget then I'd recommend: Louis shanks, cantoni, or star.

Lazboy furniture gallery has nice living room furniture and lots of nice decor.

If you're trying to not spend much Bel Furniture has reasonable prices, Ashley Furniture is fairly inexpensive, and I hear mixed reviews about rooms to go.

So many options !!! Thank you all. I am flexible budget wise but nothing ridiculously expensive. Thank you, I decided to go all white. What I am missing is a white dinning set and rugs... And random cool housing decorations. This will help anyone else looking for furniture as well. Thank you for the help.

Well I sell furniture for a living so you can definitely come by and see me sometime (and I guess it could be an easy way to screen me for a future meeting lol)

ftfy. What he said. I've done interior design at stores off and on for 12 years now and I order from this company alot for clients who want to go ultra mod:
http://vigfurniture.com/

lucky for you they also sell to the public:
http://www.lafurniturestore.com/

Look for companies like Calligaris, Zuo, CII, and Eurostyle. They have some great designs at a way better price point online than at the stores on Fondren that order from them. Also try http://www.globalfurnitureusa.com/. Just take the product number, name, or serial number and search for it online.

Good luck, and if you need some help, advice, or space planning let me know.
