Last night Verlander was pulled for a pitch hitter, as there is no DH in LA. Hinch gambled and lost as the Astros bats were silent, except for Springer. They stranded at least 7. A couple of clutch hits and the Series would be over.

Did not see one halloween costume and absolutely nothing indicating it was halloween when they put the cameras on the stands during game 6

There's a career perspective to consider with pitch-count. In the regular season, you're better off keeping your best players under 100 game-to-game, to prevent injuries that haunt you into the post-season.

Consider how regularly the Dodges play Maeda. He only sees 2-3 innings a game, but he's in nearly all of them.

This is the World Series, and virtually everyone up here is the cream of the crop. If Springer is hitting home runs off you, it's not because your suck.

What about Sandy Koufax, who they showed in the stands. 2 complete games in the World Series 1965, both shut outs, only 2 days rest.

Face it here, guys. Men are just not the MEN they used to be.
We grow up in a pampered air conditioned home where Dad can't whip your ass when you fuck up. Mom can't yell at you. Your class mates can't bully you. etc. etc. etc.

..........and if you 'bench jockey' someone and one of the hundred cameras that are on you catches you, you get suspended for 5 days.

Shit, we used to have fun and get rowdy on the field bench jockeying with guys on the other team, however after the game was over we all shook hands like good buddies. Nothing personal, just talking shit. What Yuli did against Darvish has been done hundreds of times, but in this day and time when society seems to want to emasculate men, a lot of guys have gotten away with it back then, but not now.

The terms we used when I was actively playing ball weren't racist at all, however they sure were homophobic.....damn, I miss those days.

Roger Maris just doesn't get the appreciation he deserves for hitting 61 in 1961. You look at some of the video for that year, his swing was smooth and awesome.
