I did understand your statement but I never let them put that grate on mine and I still have some of the softest feet and hands for a man it's just I keep them up and yes I was in the Army for 13 years ran 2 mikes or more in jump boots and also work 30 yrs in a plant where everyday I wore steel toes boots but I would go once a month to the nail salon and lotion my feet and hands every day then put on socks ... also wearing jump boots if any Army men no they have an high arch in them and yes I guess that's why I have one .

You may want to try inserts in your boots. The inserts that come in the boots more than likely don't support your high arch. I have the opposite problem, fallen arches. I use powerstep inserts. I have a great pair of Hytest waterproof boots now that have been my most comfortable so far. Couple coworkers just got Thorogoods and seem to like them.

Must say you are the first provider I have known to speak of wearing steel toe boots. Have seen a few ladies working turnarounds that "supplement" their income by providing companionship to fellow crafts. They were all surprised when I mentioned to them that in a multi hour date they made more than a 12 hour shift....
