Is it appropriate to ask about grandfathering?

It's always appropriate to tell a provider, "since I've seen you a few times, I don't feel I should have to pay your higher rate."

What could possibly go wrong?

So often comments ladies may make are brushed off as "not accepting what you deserve" in a begrudging manner, rather than based on normal, real life circumstances that everyone else faces.

My rates have never changed since I showed up, so no. Go check out the multiple threads about whether or not LOTO is a dumbass in Houston if you have a few hours and hate life. For the record, the question of his dumbassery seems to be a landslide in the affirmative column. There's a poll and everything.

Edit: For the record, he made a thinly-veiled threat to out myself and others recently, so tread carefully with this one.

It depends on the girl, but I would ask. I have always grandfathered in clients I enjoy spending regular time with.

Thank you! What applies to the rest of the world seems to be moot when one discusses providers around here. ijs. I have gratitude for those who understand why we would raise rates and not offer the old one to those who come around a bit more than others. Wanting to get something for less, makes me think they are probably not a believer in tipping either, despite their own opinion a lady is a cut above some others. Some seem to be stuck in a price range that was acceptable maybe when they first started, but no longer applies.

Gratitude to be with the ladies and because it's a biz, is shown to the ladies through a gent's gratuity. Most do this for a living and the cost of living goes up for provider's as any other individual's does. I suppose most think we should just pick up our volume, rather than realize, there's more to us than meets their eye and/or desires.

I just raised my rates, very slightly, last Fall. And although I put in the ads that my past clients are grandfathered in, I don't make it a point to TELL them to not pay the higher price.

Most clients just pay me what they're used to paying.

But I have a LOT of past clients. Some guys, I've seen only a few times over the years. They'll see me here and there. And I don't feel a driving need to tell them that since I've seen them, my rates have been raised $20.

If they pay me what they have paid me, that's fine.

If you're with someone that you know pretty well, just ask her. I don't see it as being insulting. And I don't believe that by her not mentioning anything, that it's some sort of game or she has no intention of grandfathering you in.

Ladies will raise their rates. Just ask her a question about it, if you have one to ask.

My 2 cents on the matter.

I saw her this week,
and asked.

Her answer was,
"No."

She then explained why.
She decided to add a few things to her list of offerings.
It was a few things such as anal, CIM, swallowing, and other fetish items.
She said she could of charged a la carte,
which those clients would of paid an extra 200.
Not an exact number.
Instead she said she would charge everyone equally,
and if they would like to partake it would be available all the time.

She summed it up as it was to cover preparation time,
and cost of extra items which she now must provide.

So it was not anything personal.
Just a business decision.

She appreciated that I asked.
Also that I explained the financial limits on my part that caused me to ask.
In the end she said that she will give me extended appointments,
an extra 30 minutes at her current rate.

So thanks to everyone who offered advice and opinions.
