On a serious note. Masturbation can have side effects to your sexual encounters. Been a couple years since I read Dan Savage's Savage Love, but depending on your technique (grip, lube, etc.) you can decrease sensitivity to your pleasure points, which can make it very difficult to orgasm. Like everything else, moderation can be a good thing.

Then again, if it really kills kittens, it might be better to control the cat population!

I am too lazy to go find the study, but I recall that they also discovered that it could lead to deficient performance, because if you are fairly routine about what you use as stimulation (particular fantasy or porn, or a certain technique) when you masturbate you form a mental addiction to that format that may even make it difficult to get and maintain an erection, as well as having the orgasm difficulties Badboy points out.
