Reagan won two landslide presidential elections, 44 states and 49 states. If Reagan was running today, I wonder if he would even have a chance. The country has reached a tipping point. You stated in post #13 that the tax burden was "shifted" from the wealthy to the middle class. That's simply a false statement, not just an opinion with which I disagree.

Some people need to make more of an effort to engage in critical thinking and treat pundits on both sides of the ideological divide with a healthy dose of skepticism.

Ronald Reagan, a TEA party icon and often quoted idol was pro gun control, anti nukes, pro immigration and amnesty, raised the debt ceiling 18 times, raised taxes to protect social security, was the director of the most liberal union (actor's guild) for a number of years and ran 8 years of deficits all while having an astrologer as a consultant.

Hardly TEA party values.
