I was reading a book written in 1926 by historian, Will Durant, this morning. He was talking about the two political extremes in the country. He wrote, that on one side, you have conservatives, on the other extreme you have radicals, and in the middle you have liberals.

The term liberal used to mean centrist, neither left or right. The left wing (radicals) initially adopted the term, liberal, in order to disguise their true nature.They wanted people to think they were centrists.

Later, the left abandoned liberal and adopted progressive as their preferred name. This was done because liberal had taken on a negative connotation due to the fact that people began to realize that a liberal is actually a socialist.

The leftists are first, last and always, liars.
