Idk about this. If CNN slips the debate questions to the Democrats again (yes, this actually happened once) then they can prep Biden and hope he stays on script.
Otherwise it's an endurance race to see what happens first: Biden zoning out, going incoherent and wandering off stage, or Trump raging and acting like a man-baby a-hole.
After Biden wandered of stage TWICE at the G7 conference he's not exactly instilling confidence.

I believe the debate will be a draw or slight nod to Biden since CNN will be muting Trump’s mic and sleepy Joe will likely be vitaminized and caffeinated similarly as he was at the SOTU show. And of course obummer will be under the stage.

.... Too right, mate ... That Cheerio fellow (prolly Australian)
was obviously the toughest of the lot - but Joe ran them off.
Maybe he'll once again mention that story at the debate.
How will Joe be able to function with NO teleprompter
and NO ear-piece (IF we trust CNN to hold-to the rules)??
Will the moderatours spoon-feed Sleepy Joe the debate
questions in-advance??
... Will CNN run a fair debate for BOTH sides??
... IF so - Trump will WIN Bigley! ...

I hope so Salty! We should always remember the immortal words of Mr obummer:

I am sure Biden can out do Trump in that department. Gaffs and shitting on himself. That's what Biden is best noted for, lol.

I would have gone with "out dump Dumpster" myself, sir. But that's just me going for the joke as well as I read your post.
There will not be a winner in the debate. Retarded Fascist versus declining Boomer. Progress slows.

Ah yes. The "they cheated" strategy drumpf uses every time he loses
Nothing new. More stupid shit from the shithead leagues.
Trump Campaign in Panic Mode Ahead Of Debate, Will Claim Biden Was On Drugs If He Crushes Trump
https://dailyboulder.com/trump-campa...crushes-trump/
Donald Trump’s team is gearing up for a potential strong showing from Biden in the upcoming debate, already setting the stage to dismiss it as a sham.
The former president and his allies have begun laying groundwork to cast doubt on President Biden’s performance, suggesting without evidence that Biden may rely on performance enhancers to excel at the debate in Atlanta next week.
This strategy mirrors past efforts to downplay Biden’s successful State of the Union address earlier this year. Republicans, wary that Biden could defy perceptions of him as frail and confused, are cautioning against high expectations for the debate.
While some within the GOP advise downplaying Biden’s debating skills, Trump himself has vacillated between labeling Biden as inept and preemptively insinuating that any strong performance from Biden would be due to unspecified outside assistance.
“He’s gonna be so pumped up. He’s gonna be pumped up,” Trump asserted at a recent rally in Wisconsin
Guess they're all shitting their pants again.

Biden has made up a lot of ground in the polls since Trump got convicted. If Biden does not freeze up during the debate it will not matter who Trump picks for vice president. Women in the suburbs who voted twice for Obama will vote for Biden again. They know a woman's right to choose is gone because of Trump.
If I were Trump I would pick Sen J.D. Vance for V.P. over Haley. Haley lost to Trump in her home state. She lost the Nevada primary when there wasn't anyone else on the ballad.
If Biden beats or ties Trump in the first debate, he will be re-elected. Biden will take swing states Mich, Penn and Wisc. That is all that he needs to get to 270 electoral college votes. Biden will keep the vote of women from the suburbs and keep 75% of the Black vote. That will be enough to get Biden to 270 electoral college votes.

Here is my opinion on the polls. You have to go back to the 2004 election to where the Republican candidate, Bush, for whom I voted, won the popular vote. And if Gore had gotten about 700 more votes in Florida in 2000 and won the election, I would contend that the Democrat candidate in 2004 would have won the popular vote. So then you have to go back to 1988 where the Republican won the popular vote. Even if you count the Bush popular vote victory in 2004 as solid, Democratic candidates have won 7 or the last 8 popular votes. Biden won by 4.5% in 2020.
The polls for the national vote are almost dead even. I have a hard time believing that. Even Hillary, a very unpopular candidate, beat Trump by 2.1%. So why are the polls so close? In 2016 polls badly underestimated Trump, especially at the state level so pollsters attempted to correct the perceived sampling errors. In 2020, the polls were much closer in their predictions but again missed Trump's strengths in several states (Florida and Ohio quickly come to mind). So once again the pollsters tried to correct the perceived bias in their sampling.
And my opinion is that the polls are now skewed in Trump's favor. Trump may win the electoral college but I don't believe he will be close in the popular vote. Yet polls currently show he will be.
So I guess I'll quote my buddy Salty and say "Just wait".

I have no doubt . . .I fully expect that CNN will provide questions to President Biden's team.
This is one political event that I will watch this year.

CNN is not in the business of setting government policy. That’s what you are saying with the statement “give him the answers”.
First they say that Biden has dementia and is so frail he can’t stand up for the entire debate. Then they say he must be on a substance that can’t be mentioned. Then they say that the moderators are biased. Then they say that the debate is rigged.
Ole Schitzenpants must be terrified of looking like a loser when Biden spanks him during the debate.

Of course, a lot depends on how much “go Joe” the DNC’s version of Dr Morell administers.
