I think a lot of it depends upon the business skills of the Provider. There have been quite a few traveling Providers blowing through the Western NY area over about the last 2 Months. Some have posted well in advance of their Tours (3 Weeks to 2 Months out) to generate as many pre-books as they can. Others seem to post an ad that they are coming either a day or two before or in some cases the day they arrive in a City and they only seem to be staying 2 - 3 days then moving on. This is far from adequate notice for most possible clients. And then these same girls complain that there is a lack of interest when they Tour an area?

Some may leave early due to lack of business. ..it happens. I post at least a week advanced when possible. Charlotte's right - we love pre-booking. Besides screening, its a provider's best friend becauseIit allows her to project the marginal benefit vs marginal cost...knowing this consequently allows for determining to make the trip or not. Blank trips suck and its never good to be in desperate situations in THIS or any industry.

Totally agree.

The worst is when you've had ads up for months for a two day trip, and no one emails until 3pm on your second day. As you're driving home.

Like you said, there's no reason for us to ever be in a iffy situation in this industry. If I have a trip that has all same day appointments, or the dreaded second day rush, I just won't go back. Why go somewhere so unreliable when we can book up a month in advance elsewhere?

Cities I frequent I will post in for a about a month. Let my regulars know that I am coming in. I have a new city to visit in March and have already layed a foundation of communication with that city's board. I agree with Charlotte though. It is tough when we don't hear anything until last minute and some ladies will cancel a trip since they have no prebooks.

This is true. I cancelled Shreveport and Texarkana, recently. This brings on another good topic : Pre-booking.
