She has the perfect woman's hand gun. No hammer so it can be fired from with in a purse. My daughter has the same gun and she never has to take it out of her purse to fire it. Her purse has a pocket on the side that holds the gun with an opening at the muzzle end.

New laws are on the books.

In Texas...you no longer have to qualify with a semi-auto in order to carry a semi-auto.

Look it up!

I could never understand the rule to begin with. I do think part of the shooting should be in low light with at least two targets. One target is a good guy and the other is the bad guy.If you carry you should at the very least visit the range every six weeks. You need to spend the last little bit of time at the range shooting from your weak side. If you use an automatic always carry one in the chamber. Only in the movies do you have time to rack a round in the gun.

Thanks john353 for reaffirming what I stated earlier. CC with revolver or semi and carry either. Go to the range as often as possible and become proficient with your firearm. Familiarize yourself with the nomenclature of your weapon, know how to break it down, clean and reassemble. Practice drawing and "re-holstering" or however you carry it. Remember, 1500 motions for muscle memory. Lastly, remember your 2nd Amendment rights.

Fuck it. Might as well chime in my video peice to this schindig. Love a girl with a gun, and this thread seems to be the perfect place to brag about my latest collaberation lol!

I also would like to take a second to beam like a proud father over my first firearm purchase, a remington 887 nitro magnum. I'm addicted. I think I want a tank next, if they come in matte black LOL!

I was with you all the way until these two sentences. We'll have to agree to disagree. I don't see it as ever encountering a "quick draw" situation, where I have to draw, acquire and shoot in fractions of a second. I see my carrying as running into a situation, where I either have time to seek cover and assess, while loading one into the chamber, or if I run into a situation with potential harm as guys approach on the street, where I'll have time to draw and chamber as I draw, then assess the situation. You obviously see different scenarios happening where that wouldn't work for you. I can tell you however, that even when I carried in a combat zone, I did NOT go around with a round chambered.

Default One in the pipe

Yes we will disagree on that. I feel there will be a time when one hand will be occupied and I want the weapon prepared to fire. In the old days there was a worry about dropping the gun and it going off. With the way guns are manufactured now with the cross bar device it won't happen. I just can't depend on having both hands available in a situation. In a car jacking situation you better be able to hide your draw.
