I play a little dic golf. I am just a newb at it still but its fun. I only have three discs. A driver, mid-range and a putter. Got all mine at academy like last year, so i am pretty sure they still sell them. Anyway if you need another person to help out or try a different course out pm me.

I Have Been Playing Disc Golf For About 15/20 Years OR SO,
I Am A Native South Austinite, And That Is Just Something
You Do When You Are From South Austin Baby!!!!!
BUT I Haven't Played Since I Moved To North Austin!!!
Mary Moore Searight Is My FAVORITE Course!!!!! It Is Like
Taking A Hike Through The Woods!!!!! I HAVE NEVER Been
SOOOO SERIOUS About It That I Have A BAG Of Discs
That I Carry Around With Me!!!! I Carry 2 Discs When I Go
A Long Distance And A Mid Range Disc Is All I Care To Use.
It Is REALLY MORE About Getting Out Into Nature, And
Hanging With Friends Or My Kids (They Are AVID Discers)
SOOO If You Want A Gal To Come Along For A Variety In
Your Group I Would LOVE To Come With Y'all!!!!! I Guess I
Need To Find A Course In North Austin That I Enjoy Playing,
Because The Drive To South Austin Is Inconvenient On A
Regular Basis!!!!!
E-Mail Me Andrea, And I Will Give You My Number So We Can
Get Together To Throw Some Discs!!!!!
Lilly
P.S. I AM MOST CERTAINLY NOT A DWEEB!!!!!!

I play occasionally. I'm terrible at it but I like getting out in the nice scenery. I bring my dog and son and it's a pretty good workout and a nice way to spend the afternoon. I live in sw austin and play at circle c frisbee golf course: http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=542 It's really nice with lots of elevation changes...so its a workout. There are also some nice streams that you go by if you do it in the wetter months. I like to take a break and throw the ball for my "golden" I bought some frisbees at home depot...I just take 3 with me. Give it a try it's easy.

Lilly I agree with you 200% about US "South Austinites" we are a breed of our own!!! And you are soooo correct about the Nature aspect of the game.
If you don't mind driving to Wilco one of my brothers loves the Old Settlers course, Its one of the harder ones around here. I haven't played it cause I try to avoid Wilco @ all costs
And fwiw I don't have any objections @ all if you want to come and throw some discs with us

lilly, how does a south austinite end up in north austin?!? that is sacrilege
i'm a south austinite, but i'm a runner and not a disc golfer. however, i sometimes run by the disc golf course in pease park. i think it is still open, so you guys might consider it as a possibility as it is north of the river and not too inconvenient a drive from the north.

I have just recently tried the wells branch course. Its pretty decent plus they are in the middle of changing it. They are adding more buckets and changing the course a little bit. Since I am north I generally play this side of town. They have my favorite course closed atm it got parched last summer and they are cleaning it up. That course is in the cedar park area.
Anyway add me to the list if you guys get something going.
