Solitaire, nice socio-economic spin you have. However, I think you kinda gloss over the price of entry a bit too easily by considering women the gatekeeper to whom men must pay for entry. There are men who just take what they want. They don't believe in a social contract. Caveman clubs cavewoman, she's now his. Rockstars pick whichever groupie they want to sleep with and there is no need to pay an entry fee. Weak women who fall for a loser (only she doesn't know it at the time). I'm not trying to dis you or your position-- just showing you the other side of the fence.

Again, we are simply comparing opinions here... but the way I see it, the fact that different women have differing requirements does not eliminate her role of "gatekeeper". A woman may require more, less, or nothing... it is still SHE who determines access.

A rape does not change this. The proof of that is in the feeling of violation. If it were not her role being "robbed" from her, then rape would just be another mating act. It is not.

As for the rockstar... or ANY male of higher "entertainment" stature... the price he paid for his craft, and its elevation factor in, as well as personal development.... and when you consider this whole realm as part of the entertainment industry, I'd almost suggest he is simply functioning as a cheap gigolo... then again, those groupies did buy a ticket for admission. This would be a good example of role-reversal in the whole game.
