I cannot stress enough that one should get a hobby phone. Google voice is great too because you can set it up to your gmail account to just send texts or calls to your email only.

I suggest a .2 hobby phone or an expensive lawyer. Hobby phones work better. IMO Anytime people are involved things can get messed up.

Yes I'm a moron. Because a hobby phone is kept on you at all times obviously. Use it any old time but call it a hobby phone cuz it sounds cool. Like the "Bat phone".

Lol.
I don't mind getting an occasional 'I'm in town' text, but don't f'n send a mass text, one that shows 15 other phone numbers on it. Discretion is shot all to hell that way. It doesn't take much for one to pick one of those numbers and find out who it belongs to.
Imagine seeing your dad, brother, or even a friend's number in the cue...or them seeing yours. Then they start asking those awkward questions, ones that suggest greatly what you do.
"Say, Bob. I couldn't find you at all for a couple hours last week around 8. You're usually home at that time. Where were you at?" Or, "I thought I saw your car over by....".

Single guys don't need hobby phones and no hobbyist should get solicitation calls or texts! To me, they show a lack of maturity, class and commom sense.

100% correct surcher.
I assume all solicitation calls are women who just need my magic cock so badly they waive all fees.
But I still charge them for gas anyway.

Again, I don't mind it. Shit, copy and paste 10 times instead of sending it in group emails. Yeah, I'm single, so it's fine.
If you're married, you've got some fucking nerve risking half of your financial existence for the thrill of new pussy. The fact that you need another phone that isn't company issued should be red flag to any smart wife. To each his own, though. Seems like a great idea until you get caught. At least you aren't celebrities/athletes with millions getting caught. Then again, they have bigger halves to give up. I'd rather give up half of $20M than give up half of $3,000.

Unsolicited texts and cold calling are NOT appropriate - or safe or intelligent - provider etiquette. A hobby phone is the way to go IF you can have it billed in a way that your spouse won't come across it, and if you can keep the second line securely hidden, but like others have said, that's risky and hard to explain if discovered.
Best bet: deal with providers who have more sense and better cover stories. If any curious wives ever call my number, it sounds like I have an entertainment company and might be planning their anniversary party. (Better darn well have a party then if she's that suspicious, dudes.) In 5 years I have had ONE such call from a snoopy wife who went through her hubby's phone records. He ended up taking her on a cruise "arranged" by my "agency." Damn, I didn't even get a commission.
While we're at it.....guys who send me messages from their work emails. WTF are THEY thinking??? It doesn't cost a cent to set up a more anonymous Yahoo or Gmail account so their bosses won't be into their private shenanigans.

That is a good way to put it.
CVS pharmacy sells disposable phones for $10. After you are done with the appointment then throw it away.
Google voice is another good idea if you do not want to buy another phone. Google voice is free and you can block numbers from calling you.
creamofthecrop You sound like you look down on escorts. Maybe the escort in question has been having a hard time financially. I doubt she had any intention of destroying your life. You sound like you want to give her 10 lashes and destroy her reputation. You probably have pmed several guys to tell them who she is too.

There ya go, a good suggestion and very practical. Comes with some pre-loaded minutes, I assume? Hmmmm, I'll have to look into that. I see a special in the making:
"Free disposable phone with purchase of transient pussy!"

I agree. I have never once sent an unsolicited text, hell I don’t even send unsolicited emails. And once someone texts me, if I cannot return the text within hours, I just don’t text back for fear that the man who sent me that text may now be home or some where where receiving a text from a hooker might not be appropriate ..... so guys if you text me and I don’t text back ... text me again ....
The funny thing is ... if I was a guy ... I would find them offensive as hell. These texts are not coming in because you rocked their world last time and dazzled them with your witty conversation, they are texting you for your money ... plain and simple.
And then the fact that they want/need your money so bad they are willing to text you out of the blue and intrude on what ever you are doing at that exact second is selfish, thoughtless and reckless as hell.

I always, after every session, or even before or during, ask my client the very best way to contact them - most have a second phone, in which THEY contacted ME on, so normally its okay for me to text or call. This argument could be tugged either way, but to be safe, NEVER text a client if you don't know...A, for me, it hardly works anyways, B I don't want to come off as desperate when they see the boards and other advertising forums anyways, and C , I respect the fact that they need total discretion - hey, the whole family is at stake. Id hate to wreck homes...because OBVIOUSLY it WILL come back and affect my business...NOT GOOD.

I'd rather get a text saying you're in town over not getting one and you show up and is on my short list of 'intend to repeat', only to find out that you've come and gone and I didn't bestow upon you el cocke beautifulio.
It's a fine line, you know.
