My brother is still dead. He will never come back. Why did he die? For what purpose? The answer will never come. Not really. And that is the ever present reality that exists outside the debate.

I won't get involved with this debate. I've no idea how to talk about it without feeling horribly cheated. How do the rest of you cope with a loss because of the war?

You can not say you are true conservative and alien yourself with the Christian Coalition. Conservatives , true conservatives do not involve themselves in the bedroom. So what do some of the people in this thread have to say about the fine young American troops who either died, severly injured, or suffer the trama of being in this War.

So many Americans are so quick to point out that we were justified in Iraq war. I'm guessing they probably had no one dear to them, go over there and fight.

Yea, people luv to talk about how we need to get involved in such affairs...of course, when you ask them how if they themselves, or son/daughter, etc are willing to go fight...they get quiet real quick

I realize that the chances for a true uniform Draft into military probably will never happen. But I firmly believe, that the amount of military conflicts we engage in, would drop drastically...if all the sudden perhaps you, your family or neighbors could be involve directly in conflict, we would not be so quick to send the troops over anywhere
