I can see them making a ton of money on that fight. I think it's career suicide, but certainly their combined fame and the novelty of the cross-sport/promotion event would make crazy money.

Eh. Don't care for McGregor much as a fighter, but he is certainly business savvy.

On another note, anyone else watching TUF? Weird season.

Mayweather can't pull in the numbers after what he did with PacMan. They can hype it all they want but people aren't that desperate for entertainment. This article sums it up

McGregor fans are pretty fanatic about him. That being said, I could see him taking this huge payday and just retiring afterwards.

It's not really up to mcgregor though. The UFC, aka Dana White, is his promoter and there is no way he's fighting Mayweather without the UFC getting a substantial cut. This is why Dana told Floyd to call him if he's serious and wants the fight to happen.

Conor is crazy if he really thinks he can beat Floyd in a BOXING match. He couldn't even handle Nate two-piecing him to death and then there was the Stockton slap....

I'm a huge mma fan. I go to fights all over the country. I'm a Conor fan and a Nate fan but I'm not dilusional. Boxing rules against Floyd, Conor gets clowned.

Oh yeah, I don't think anyone is realistically thinking that Conor has a chance against Mayweather.

Great fights last night. When Cruz is healthy, he's always amazing to watch. No one can ever catch him!

Hats off to Bisping for his performance. I'm not a fan of his antics, but he really showed everyone who wasn't giving him any respect.

Dan Henderson had the best performance last night IMO. Bisping won that fair and square but I think that was due to Luke not giving him any respect. I agree with you on Cruz.

Henderson and Bisping both got Performance of the Night bonuses. Rockhold definitely didn't respect Bisping enough, but that's his own fault for that.

The Ariel Helwani stuff that's happening now is some pretty interesting stuff too.

The Ariel banning for life is just stupid. The UFC should be proud that they had a breaking news story like that but instead Dana smacks him down. I know they have had beefs before but more coverage is always a good thing.

The UFC just had to backtrack and say they would life the ban on Helwani and the two other reporters. Pretty interestingly, this story was actually covered by some of the bigger sports media outlets like ESPN and SI. From what I had gathered on what Helwani had said, it sounded more like Lorenzo Fertitta (sp?) was the one pushing for his ban than Dana White was.

RIP Kimbo. I never thought he was a good fighter, but good for him on overcoming some tough circumstances to get to where he was.

From what I read Helwani was a paid UFC shill who overstepped his journalistic boundaries.

Jones just fucked up the card for Saturday. Lesnar/Hunt is now the main event.
