Sounds like haggling no matter how you put it, and if you have to be worried about $20 you should not be hobbying in the first place. Any mention of $$$ in my opinion is haggling on the behalf of the hobbyist, if the Provider comes to you with a reduced rate or offer, it is just that, an offer. So guys, pay the asking price, and save the haggling to the car lot. There are many price points for one to choose from.

That, "if you have to ask you can't afford it", and "you get what you pay for" always raise my hackles.

My observations seem to indicate that if that were true, there would be no need for a reviews section.
Pay 200, get a great job done, but pay 250 would be 25% better? or $150 25% worse? I wish!!

Great topic Sacker! I know that this is somewhat different than the situation that you described, but I was once in a city with a lot of neon and flashing lights with a large group of friends. Some ladies entered the club where we were partying. They were offerring an opportunity to "see the varmit" for a certain fee. They varmit was comely and quite rare so this was a treat. One of my friends, tried to get a lower price to "see the varmit" and finally one of the ladies agreed. Later when we asked him about his experience with "the varmit" he was unhappy cause the experience was less than he had expected given the rarity and comeliness of "the varmit". He was terribly unhappy the there were upcharges introduced in order for "the varmit" to perform certain tricks that he had expected in the "negiotiated fee", but had not been expressly assurred of. All in all it was a great waste of time and $$$ with little or no pleasure. I think that if he had just paid the asking price, then he would have had a wonderful time and gotten to see all of the tricks that most would have expected of such a rare and comely "varmit". (if you are wondering "what the hell is he talking about", then you have never read Louis L'Amour!)
I think that the hobby is a luxury and if you can't afford the asking price, then you have no business in the hobby. I also think that some of the ladies on occasion run specials and when a hobbyist is a little short he needs to look for the specials that fit his budget. IMHO to haggle with an established provider with a reputation for service that is supported by reviews, to haggle is demeaning to both parties. As IB/DM stated, "There are many price points to choose from".

Thanks for taking my call; long time listener, love the show, just returned from a two week business trip overseas and wanted to jump in........in hobby world, pay your bills, etc. and if you feel you can play that week, then play.....If not, dream about your next appointment for the next payday. I would not ask a provider to give me a 10 dollar or 20 dollar break or even a 50 dollar break. Next thing you know, it gets around that so and so got a discount, etc. etc. Thanks for taking my call, I'll sit back and listen..............

Hello....Am I on the air.....?
Hi this is Genesis, long time listener, I chime my 2 cents in when I feel the need....
I have no problems giving a $10 (maybe) $20 lead way, but it would ONLY be with a REGULAR visiting friend and would only be for those sessions of 2hr+
I say that due to the fact that my ""tuition donation" is already pretty damn good for my "friends" when it comes to those dates 90min and less...
I will also agree that it would have to be YMMV and case by case senerio.
I can already forsee the problem of "some" men taking advantage of a lady's generosity. Like the saying goes: "Give them an inch and they will take a mile."
Asking for such a deal is in poor taste for a first time meeting...........
Thank you for taking my call.....
Oh and congrats on your 1000th post.
~Gen Nicole~

Hello.... Can anyone hear me? omg girl im on the radio...i wanna give a shot out to......oops
Tricky question. Asking for a discount on the first meeting....it is tacky. I have offered it and i got burned each and every time. Some bad dishonest gents mess it up for the next sincere gent who really had money issues.
Although if a reg asked, hell yea, i would give him a discount, he has shown me has the ability to pay and shown me respect and most of all sincerity. Now, another problem and this has been mentioned already. If the gent received the discount and reported it in a review. Ouch, well why did so and so get a discount and i cant. Here comes trouble.
Thanks for taking my call....Lisa

Thank you caller!
Well, I am guessing tonight's show is coming to an end. I was hoping to hear from a few more of our regular callers. Where is that crazy person from Toledo who usually chimes in?
Oh well I would like to thank our sponsers.
Viagra, keeping old farts hard for over a decade.
Trojan, keeping my ass off Maury, and boy am I happy about that.
Youporn, without you what would I do when I wake up horny with morning wood?
See ya next week, same sacker time, same sacker channel.
