i use to 1/4 mile Street Race - 1971 Camero - 450 hsp back in the 80's - bad ass on Forest Lane and behind H Hines in the Warehouse area ( Manana street - some know of it )

A few years ago I was driving down HH and a girl pulled up next to me looked over and motioned with her left hand in a fist and thumb back like she was hitchhiking or pointing behind the vehicle with her thumb. Reminds me of another time I “missed the ball”. I was getting out of the hospital after a car accident (I was 19) I had been dismissed and was waiting for my brother to come get me. I was about 9PM and I lived 2 hrs away. A hot little “candy striper” came in and asked why I was still there and I told her I was waiting for my ride. She said “I will take you home”.
