We can agree to disagree as to this part.
I agree that Jan 6 was not a race based event.

Why would someone like me vote for politicians that think racist Chuck and others from this forum holds appropriate views and has appropriate behavior.

Well, Cheap Charlie is merely a poster on a hooker board. The other Chuck, our Senate Majority Leader, wants to raise your taxes. Without a Republican counterbalance, if left in power long enough, he and other Progressives may bankrupt America, and take the USA from one of the most prosperous countries in the world to a place like France. I agree more with Democrats on certain social issues, but am more inclined to vote with my pocket book.
And agreed about the racists. Trump didn't help with his "very fine people" quote. Or when he accused Mexican immigrants of being murders and rapists. Or when he initially refused to disavow David Duke. He seems to want to have his cake and eat it too.

And ditto Ducbutter. January 6 was a mass psychosis created by Rudy Giuliani, Sydney Powell, Donald Trump and others. It had nothing to do with race.

mass psychosis???? really...
if you say so.

I don't remember him saying that. One third would be high.
Here's what I'm talking about, what Trump said in 2015,
When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.
Now this was not a very bright thing to say. First and foremost, the majority of American Hispanic voters are Mexican Americans. Even though Trump was talking about illegals, that was a slam to them.
Second, while Mexicans may represent the largest immigrant group INSIDE the USA, the total number of Mexicans inside the U.S. has been decreasing. The incremental illegal immigrant population is coming from places like Central America, Cuba, Venezuela, etc.
Third, if Trump had said, say, Guatemalans or El Salvadorans are bad people who rape, then Mexicans in Mexico would probably have been cheering him. Mexico at that time (and probably still) had its own problem with the Central Americans. Instead he chose to insult our neighbor, and one of our largest trading partners.
Republicans can win the Hispanic vote. The influx of Cubans and Venezuelans may actually help, as they suffered mightily under left wing governments. Cuban Americans in Florida as you know have traditionally been a strong voting bloc for Republicans. Bush got 40% of the Hispanic vote in 2004, and Reagan got 37% in 1984. In my county, Hispanics overwhelmingly voted for Trump in 2020, although they were mostly voting against Biden and his energy policies instead of for Trump.
What I'm saying is there's no sense antagonizing people who otherwise would vote for you. And this doesn't just apply to Trump or to Hispanics -- see what Blackman's saying in this thread.

Of course not. I'll vote for the Republican or the Libertarian. If Trump's the candidate, it will be the Libertarian. If I were omniscient, I might have voted for Bill Clinton in 1996, as Clinton along with Gingrich and others did good things for the country. You wouldn't have known that was coming based on his first term though. Anyway, Joe Biden is far to the left of Bill Clinton, and is doing his dead level best to take the USA down the wrong road.

Perhaps you gentlemen could explain then. As Trump said during the Town Hall the other evening, many of the participants were policemen, firemen, soldiers, carpenters and electricians. Rational, law abiding citizens who serve their communities and their country. And yet they trespassed and were acting like ANTIFA demonstrators. They injured 114 Capitol Police. They destroyed property and had many politicians and staffers fearing for their lives. It's a miracle that only Ashli Babbitt died.

Well, we're supposed to be better than that. Paraphrasing Michelle Obama, when Democrats go low, we go high. Or that's the way it was until January 6.

I think you discount folks like union steelworkers in Ohio or Penn and coal minors in Appalachia. Plus lotsa union types in places like NYC, Boston, Jersey. That's a sizeable demo.
