When the Democratic nominee wins, there tends to be a 3-8 month lull in the hobby. There are lots of people in Texas who make their money off the oil industry in general, and they generally hold back a bit to see where the financial trends are going. Now.. up in the Northeast, its almost the opposite, a Dem win is a boom while a Republican win results in a temporary lull.

Now.. neither person has an actual direct impact on the hobby... we simply aren't that important to the oligarchy. But-- peoples spending patterns are often tempered by the election.

Careful-- it is actually a Federal crime to offer an incentive to vote a particular party. You can offer an incentive to simply vote, but if it is attached to a party name, you've broken election law. And yes, there are some people who will absolutely report it.
