I have to go along with Joe. The Soviet Union, China, and Pakistan are (or were) sovereign countries and whatever aims they had required that they survive as countries. You can bargain with that. The leadership in Iran existed before they became the leaders of Iran. They don't see survival of their country as first and foremost. Their aims are religious. (Amazing that you can't trust an American candidate who is religious but you can trust a radical religious sect in the Middle East) The sect in control of Iran believes in the "lost Iman". The lost Iman will only return when the world is in chaos or what we call the beginning of Armageddon. Starting a nuclear war will not only get rid of Israel but will bring forth the lost Iman.
