Agree, but it is far easier to figure out what someone should have said/how they should have worded it in retrospect. We have lost all sense of proportion when dissecting what a person said to seven levels of mystic meaning. Some things are wrong, some are dumb, some are carelessly worded--but only a few are reprehensible. We seem unable to tell the difference in too many cases. I would put Dylan's in the "dumb" category--and when a folk singer from the Woodstock era says something dumb, it is hardly worth noticing.
