I always screen!!!!!! Just upset that I get nasty messages because I posted and masked some info about one who must have one of his buddies as a mod or is favored because he talks crap. I assumed even on this site gents would actually feel the need to actually provide the info required from providers. Again if they don't like it move on.
I again agree with everyone who says better to over screen then not... Have fun with the hobby and enjoy and doing the screening makes it a bit more relaxing when you are meeting a newbie.. Gents would enjoy I thought...

I think screening is great, do not get why gents have such an issue with it. I am not going to call unless we agree on that time to chat. I can't always take a call but I will not call you back unless you say anytime is fine and even then prefer a time frame.

I don't know what the problem with screening is either. The less screening there is, the less careful the provider. LEO as a provider might not want to screen much either.

Of any group of people, some are great and some are butt heads. On ECCIE I've seen a lot both, providers and hobbyists.

I screen, you screen, we all screen for....safety & fun! Duh.

It took a lot of work to get myself on P411 & DC and even then I double check.

Just part of being in the game ;-)

There's good and bad everywhere you go. It's all about who you as the person in control of your life decide to surround yourself with. Screening (professional/responsible screening) is part of surrounding yourself with the right people.
I'm a professional provider whose been in the hobby quite a few years. Along with my regular job and family I am a full time provider who finds the time to screen each and every one of my new clients. It's sad to say but taking someone's word for who they are just isn't good enough in this day in age. I'm a newbie friendly provider whom makes each client I screen aware that the sole purpose for my screening process is my personal safety. Mine and my clients safety is my first priority. My screening process not only helps insure my personal safety but it also helps to insure the safety of my clients and the providers I reference for. This is a business and we must remember to treat it as such. I do the very best I can to provide the best possible service to my clients. I genuinely enjoy what I do and that makes me all the more good at it. Just as any other business though; No matter how good of a service you provide, without the proper way of doing things you will not succeed.
