If he likes repeat visits, that’s a bit different since it is a pain have to refind the info each time.
For me, I usually make initial contact via P411, D-C, or here so I don’t have to have anything on my computer. I have a fully functioning e-mail account linked to them that is used for essentially nothing else. After meeting her once or twice, if I think I want to revisit on a more regular basis it also means there is some added level of trust between us.
At that point it becomes more of what Ainsley described. I will start using a different, more private e-mail and usually a real phone number on both sides. We will stay in contact more often, exchanging an occasional friendly non-work related e-mail (and in reality we NEVER talk electronically about her work at that point). From then on I have discovered (1) there is no need to write anything that wouldn’t be written between friends, so nothing I would be embarrassed about being seen. And (2), I’ve never been rescreend by those ladies, because it is essentially a continual “screening”.
I completely understand this does not fit what everyone is looking for—I never claimed to be typical—but it has worked well for me.

Old-T, this is an approach that quite a few clients take. Personally this is the kind of client I cultivated. I'd rather spend time with someone I'm hip to and enjoy enough to build a relationship outside of BCD with. The ladies you see are pretty lucky then .

Being self-employed, I understand the need for a data-base of clients.
I am pretty knowledgeable about personal, communication and tech security and provide suggestions when I have something to add.
This type record-keeping was brought up to me by a provider who wanted to see how to make it work. The key is keeping the file as far away from your technology as possible. So you have to retrieve it when needed and send it away when you are done.
We looked into drop-box, google cloud, phone provider cloud ( this might work for travelling ladies) etc, and we determined that the following was probably the best way for her to go as she does not travel -
get a low-mid priced tablet that will support spreadsheets and encryption. Put all the information on the tablet, encrypted in as many ways as you can. And Password protected is not the same as encrypted.
Leave the tablet in home/apt/ safety deposit box, never, ever take it into an appointment. And find a nice hidey-hole in your house/apt to keep it when not in use.
Keep the smallest number of contacts on your hobby phone that you can get away with at any one time. Transfer your necessary contact to the phone on the day of the appt and delete it the day after.
I would also point out that this is one of the areas that hobbiest are very, very sensitive about. I suggest that a provider never, ever, ever mention in any manner that they do record keeping; it just leaves a bad taste in the hobbiest mind.
And for gods sake, do not send me an email that is a reply to one I sent, 3-6 months previously. I immediately know that the provider is not deleting their emails. ;(
Just my .02 worth. Perhaps it will help.

personally, if i were a hooker, i'd run it exactly as olivia suggests, and knowing a girl has her shit together enough to do so is actually pretty sexy.
if she's independent and smart enough to do all that, she's probably less likely to end up in the hands of the popo to start with.
i like knowing that my effort to be a good client will be remembered and maybe appreciated.
a "database" can be as simple as an exel spreadsheet on a thumb drive. there's lot's of places to hide one of those.
dudes, it's not HER responsibility to keep YOU from getting caught.

and when you plug in the thumb drive and open the spreadsheet a temp file will be created which can be accessed-retrieved from the hard-drive.

Suggest Encryption For More Than Email
"Yes, that’s why I said “for what it’s worth” I pass word protect my phone and computer. Encryption is only good for email. I have the ability to encrypt, but I’ve only had a couple of clients that have ever sent me an encrypted email; needless to say I responded in kind. So, if it’s not encrypted on both ends, encryption is worthless." Encryption is not just for email. Encryption can be used (and should be) on many different levels: file encryption, folder encryption, drive encryption, device encryption. In short, encrypting your (hobby) phones, computers and drives would probably be a very good idea. If you are using cloud services, encrypt files BEFORE submitting your information and use a company with out-of-the-country resources.

so…some questions….
does the file stay after the original is closed?
is it a "real" file that can actually be opened and read in exel, or is it just a bunch of bits?
is it located in a visible folder?

No.
No.
No.
That being said there is no way to tour without creating a schedule & no way to create a schedule without some form of database (schedule=db).
That much info in a db? No. You don't get in a db until you are screened. My traveling schedule (my db) was a name email phone day & time. That's it.
Early on a provider in Mphs told me "Don't remember the number - remember part of it." ..ie the last 4, 3 or 2 digits. This will not work if you post your number on ads/sites. Wayyyy too many incoming numbers. So if my phone rings and I see xxx-xxx-8337 then I know at least that it's someone I have seen before & answer. The voice or the speech do the rest. TBH...if you can't go from that ...just dayum.
I use an email program Incredimail that allows a million tweaks & also deletes emails as soon as I receive them. Do I keep emails? Yes. AFTER I ask if I can and IF I can contact them whenever I came back to town. I think I've placed maybe ..maybe ..5 ads in 2013 - with no hit to biz.
I run Chrome OS & Sun's VirtualBox off a level 3 (by FIPS 140-2) 12g flash drive. Everything is on that drive & I have a seperate backup with my basics. I am anxiously awaiting the Blackphone's release next month.
What you actually did yes for a business. Absolutely. THIS business? No. No way to 100% secure it.

Dear Ms. Howard:
I know that you take the time to do the utmost due dilligence to insure the sanctity and the integrity of your clients information for the process of verification? With this said I am surprised that you didn't have information on a removable harddrive that you retain for this purpose considering how many people called you and I am sure that you where in various stages of the verification process with several potential clients as well as repeat clients when you were active.

I need to look into how to do that and include it in my blog. I felt my Contact List was reasonably well protected and struck the balance of commerce and security.

I looked into all that, but I feel that Google is too intrusive as it is, and further, I had no way of controlling someone elses’ servers.

This just wouldn’t for me when I was working because I was always out and about or traveling. It was my experience that a lady needs to respond right away or at the very least within thirty minutes of an appointment request. Besides, so much of my client base was social. A lot of times, clients would text or call me just to chat. I didn’t just provide the basic services, I was more of a real GFE, and I picked up the texts or calls because actually cared and wanted to. I couldn’t do that if I didn’t know who was calling.

There is some merit to this, but I did go out of my way to do so.

Weird , I was just thinking about you the other day when I was browsing The Other Realm wondering where you’d gone. Gawd you’re sexy.
Everybody has their way of doing things. Saving info after they are screened didn’t keep me from answering the phone for time wasters that all time after time after time. It also didn’t keep me from realizing a potential client had contacted me before and sound like a high volume space cadet for asking him the same questions or saying the same thing again. I run two businesses plus have a very active social life. I can’t keep all that in my head.
Also I wanted to be able to ease my customer service / admin duties and my system did that. And even more importantly, I needed to market to my client base. Your way helps, but it doesn’t provide the specialized marketing I felt I needed.

Again, everybody has their way of doing things. One thing I know for sure, no system is 100% secure. Like I said, I got my fair share of calls from wives. Literally all my friends have. One friend even got subpoenaed to testify in a very messy, high-stakes divorce. She even felt the need to hire council herself.
I had several clients that only contacted me through anonymous email such as Hushmail. Personally, I feel anonymous email and wipe your computer’s history is the only way to really, and truly mitigate your exposure. It us to the party playing as well as the lady to protect the private information of this very private world.

I never considered a removable hard drive. I just put my Client List on a jump drive (I’m not sure if that qualifies as a removable hard drive. My computer calls it one).
I wasn’t very high volume and I screened calls as soon as they came in. I contacted scrutinized their references and contacted them via text or email right away so there weren’t many WIP (Work In Process) verifications keep track of.

Awww......thanks sweets. You're very hawt yourself.
Yes jump/flash is another hard drive. Strongly suggest this one:
http://www.ironkey.com/en-US/website...ompliance.html
1st load: http://www.chromium.org/chromium-os
then load: https://www.virtualbox.org/
Load them onto the jump. You have created another laptop/pc/tablet...a virtual hard drive.
Incredimail.com. get the gold/premium. Imail is the only service I have found that has an "if then" sort feature & pulls multi accounts & (with some tweaks) allows you to save emails as .eml's simply. (ie IF email comes to bb@gmail, comes from p411 and has Appt Req in subject line put it in blah blah folder etc etc).
As for those space cadet calls...honey I'm paid (paid not contacted) to remember clients. No pay no client no memory. And the calls...omg! Couple weeks ago, Sun am, middle of mass my phone goes off...it's a client sending me a pic of his son's first deer. Yep just what I need dead deers in the middle of the Our Father. I adore the clients I can get close to.
Great blog

I enjoyed them too. I used to send me pictures of dead turkeys, deer, bears, you name it. One time he asked me if he left his shells in the back of my truck? I was like "What?" He said he hit the wrong person to text. He was in a hurry and didn't read the name right just saw all the pictures of his game. Gotta luv 'em .

Be that as it may, it's done and done for a good reason/s whether some here may like it or not. Spitzer was an asshole that made enemies everywhere he went / goes. He went after prostitution and was an active member in the community. You live by the sword; you die by the sword.

I know of one little provider that lost her list when I discovered it in my car. Guys in TN,MS, AL and AR all with handles, phone numbers and information about their jobs and what they liked. I burned the note book.

Thank you Thank you Thank You. Shit like writing it gown in a notebook then not just carrying it around but carrying it around on dates! drives me mental. ACK ACK ACK.
Am I showing my age by referencing those shampoo commercials "I told 2 friends and they told 2 friends and so on". Here is my thinkin - fwiw:
It only takes 1 link to break the chain. No, I may not get busted & niether any of my clients. But what if 1 of my clients saw that particular lady & she got busted. Through her hand-written notes - my client is contacted by LE and there my client sits. He's seen 2 people me and nitwit. Nitwit rolled, if he doesn't roll then he gets a charge(s). That leaves sweet lil ol me - swaying in the wind. LUCKILY.....there is no proof - no records no saved info no texts no nothing. His word against mine and he, LE & the DA have to prove their side. I'd be the dumbest of dumbasses to give them the proof.
You never ever ever compromise your personal info and you owe your clients the exact same. Keeping your clients safe means you keep yourself safe. So no for me. No database, no lists, no contact info, no saved emails or calls. Nothing nada. The tools I describe above are what I use for all aspects of this job - eccie, my site, emails, everything to do with this biz. NOTHING is on my laptop or phone. Nooooo records. No trail. No proof. Probably the only time in this business that I cover my ass.

Using a notebook is the height of silly! First off, it's not password protected. Secondly, it's static. You can't search it. It doesn't tell you who's calling. It doesn't aid you in sending an email to someone. And why oh why would she leave it lying around.
