America is beset by liars and destroyers
irrational race hustlers and antifa types
the media "understands" the rioters so much that they themselves have become destroyers, ignoring truth and being subservient to wrongs perhaps only because of some acceptance thing
the mindset and thinking of people, especially the young, has become so clouded and irrational that I, who once had no fear, have become fearful not so much for myself, but first for the country and then for the young I know
its as if people have a bloodlust and are crazy. they think of themselves alone and in their irrationality they alone are oppressed, and no one but themselves alone know oppression or so they think. and any action they take is excusable
and their "feelings" that are derived and fed by mob thinking gives them some right to do whatever they want. and that the oppressors are those who they say are oppressors
the police are demoralized, their lives and even their funding is under attack
the police might come to your house to take an after the fact report
but if you don't have a gun you'd better get one because these destroyers will soon enough come for you

Did anyone notice who owned and stepped down from the board of directors of ACME Brick company?
Berkshire Hathaway and Bill virus computer boy Gates.
That's who was having bricks dropped off to the rioters.
But demotards believe this behavior is acceptable. Moral values. Heh.

But you are right that if your number one concern is whether a 9 year old Trans child will become adviser to the Secy, of Education, then yes, Biden will win. If one thinks that the only thing that matters, economy be damned, is "Black lives" and abolishing the police ( can you imagine the stupidity of that statement ) then yes, Biden wins. If one thinks that open borders and free health care for anybody that happens to be within our borders is a good idea, then yes, Biden wins.
I just don't see a majority of people putting any or all of those issues above whether they have a job and can make a living unless of course you believe in UBI where you will get a government check whether you work or not then yes, Biden wins and we lose America.
|
Yes, the economy is either the #1 concern on the mind of each voter or close to #1. And yes, every poll on the subject shows that Trump would be better for the economy than Biden. But you neglected to mention that Trump's margin has shrunk to 3% in the latest poll.
But as I stated earlier, there are other factors at play and Biden clearly leads Trump in the polls on those factors. No, Biden does not support open borders. No, Biden does not support Medicare for all. No, Biden does not want to raise everyone's taxes.
Biden will win the popular vote. Agree or disagree?
Biden will win more electoral votes than Hillary Clinton did. Agree or disagree? If you disagree, I assume you are predicting Trump will at least hold onto all the states he won in 2016, and maybe win NH or Minnesota too.
You reference the polls that show Trump ahead of Biden when it comes to reviving the economy. What about the polls that show Trump at negative double digits on approval ratings? What about the polls that most show Trump trailing Biden by at least 6 points nationally when Clinton led Trump by 2 points at a similar point in time in 2016? What about the polls summarized by RealClearPolitics that show Biden leading in Arizona, NH, Florida, Michigan, NC, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Minnesota and Wisconsin?
I am still not predicting a Biden victory on November 3rd but Trump, as in 2016, seems to be the underdog right now.

"Despite using the “defund police phrase,” most activists don’t want to reduce appropriations to police departments to zero dollars, which is impractical. Instead, supporters of the movement hope to reduce the responsibilities we ask of police and redirect funds to other social programs."
"With calls to reduce police spending circulating among protesters who have taken to the streets to protest police brutality, several powerful Los Angeles city leaders on Wednesday called for the scaling back of the Los Angeles Police Department budget.
Mayor Eric Garcetti announced in his briefing that he has called on top city budget advisers to find $250 million in cuts to the city budget, “so we can invest in jobs, and health and education and healing.”
Police Commission President Eileen Decker said that their civilian oversight committee will be seeking $100 million to $150 million in cuts from the LAPD budget itself.
Garcetti said funding would be directed to benefit the black community, adding that “racial justice is something worth fighting for, and something worth sacrificing.”"

The funny thing about that entire statement is that it's leftist driven and in no way wants to reduce budget to give back to the actual taxpayers. Only to "redirect" funding somewhere else they think it should go. How to continue to spend other peoples money is all you ever get from the left.

SR - garcetti is the idiot who put $750K into an apartment complex for about 70
"homeless" - which reeks of corruption - and now is opening the gates to burn LA.
he.is a cop-hater - just as the mayor of Portland, Ore - Ted Wheeler - a radical anarchist dedicated to destroying democracy and Equal oportunity under the Law.
garcetti made a big deal of defuning the cops - he is sure LA would be a better place with no cops at all.
a perfect DPST paradise.
Give kalifornia back to mexico!

I am not defending Garcetti overall. I am saying that he is not "defunding" the police force. It looks like Eileen Decker is the primary proponent in favor of moving funding from the LAPD to other programs.

For most of my life I have lived in towns controlled by Republicans. I never remember budgets decreasing. I remember my taxes going up every year. If you live in an area where your taxes are decreasing Y-T-Y, you are one of the lucky few.

Since we are discussing the political scene, here is an interesting change:
2020 Presidential Betting Odds Favor Biden Over Trump For First Time
Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is now the odds favorite to win the upcoming Presidential Election following the political fallout from the ongoing unrest in the United States.
Even as the country suffered an ongoing economic crisis due to the coronavirus lockdowns, President Donald Trump had maintained the lead at most online sportsbooks. Odds suggested that he would likely overcome the blowback from the frustrated country and ultimately win his second term in office.
Where many felt that frustrations to his coronavirus response would deliver the blow needed to sink his campaign, the rapidly-expanding protest now serve as another brick the president must hold as he attempts to tread the tumultuous waters of 2020.

Totally different scenario. Trump trailed Clinton in 2016 and slowly closed the gap until on election day the race was very close. In 2020 Trump had a solid lead and over the past few months it has disappeared and continues in a downward spiral. In 2016 Trump did not have a political record on which to run. It was a guess for the most part as to how his presidency would turn out. Now the voters know and they will ultimately decide the outcome.
A long way to go and the real campaign has just begun.

well since you are using a sports odds site Trump being an "underdog" appeals to bettors. they want to cash in if he loses. in some ways a sports book might be more accurate but you seem to like the polls you like i.e. show what you think they show and claim it's some broad fact.
the similarities are many. in 2016 the major sources gagged their polls and these weren't the media/DNC influenced ones that all yelled "Hillary by a MILE!". many of them were so embarrassed by being so wrong that they now are trying to change their sampling methods. they won't make much headway. you can't poll a few thousand people or 10-15 thousand even and claim "Most Americans ... ".
one thing i predicted did happen exactly as i said .. the 2020 DEM scrum to take on Evil Lord Trump would make the 2016 Republican scrum look like a scout jamboree. and out of all that what turd floated up from the swamp? Biden.
Biden and Trump are opposites in most ways but Trump was the outsider in 2016 and Biden is the old retread kinda like a DEM version of Jeb Bush. now Corn Pop Biden comes roaring out of nowhere to be the nominee and he's got more issues than Clinton. and Clinton had issues. so it's the same, people voted for Trump to vote against Clinton and will vote against Biden too. pure Trump haters aside, it's gonna be tough for many average moderate Dems and independents to vote for Biden knowing he's not lucid.
also Trump's record is actually his strength. for people who voted for Trump's agenda, he's accomplished the bulk of it. the trade agreements, stepped up border security, removed the typical leftist business reg's and cut corp. taxes to allow US companies to compete better globally. and the overall individual cuts.
many people who wanted the above to a person will vote for Trump again. it's not a vote against Corn Poop Biden it's a vote FOR Trump. and then there's the people who will vote against Biden, because he's got a bag full of wet cats for a mind.
let's see what them polls say after the debates.

While i am not impressed with Trump's POTUS persona - his stands on issues agree with with me far more than the Progressive socialist platforms of biden and the radical leftists.
No - open border, unlimited immigration, free everything for illegals citizenship for anyone who sneaks ove the border, Soylent Green New Deal, Equal outcome fo rall, Medicare for all - massive spending and massive taxation, more and more government control, a lack of any idea what is the Constitution and Bill of Rights for all people, and it goes on and on.
I am glad to hear SR and his polls favoring The senile demented Biden - keep 'em coming - just like H... in 2016 - and let all the DPST's stay home and sip the elitist chardonnay and wake up to an horror the next morning after the election.
