The killing of Bin Laden was a strategic failure of an epic scale. We had the opportunity to capture and question him but it was thrown away on orders from the White House. Even if OBL had not said anything the operations of the Taliban would have had to change around the world.

I agree completely. If we had captured Bin Laden, the information we could have obtained, would have been enormous. We should have captured him, water boarded him, executed him, embalmed him with bacon grease and buried him in a bacon lined coffin in the middle of a hog farm.
