Their was no credible evidence that Saddam had anything to do with 9/11 but Bush convinced folks that he did and we have spent a couple of Trillion...

It is called an investment in the future you silly old man. Some will agree with it, some not. Just like the invasion of Iraq.

I can tell you its not the livestock that is causing it. Once upon a time there where many more buffalo running around free than there are cows now penned up for food.
But seriously, the above is true.
Now there is no one thing that is causing the long warming trend that the world is being subjected to. Factors from the sun, the position of the continents, to how many volcanoes throwing how much ash into the sky blocking sun light are a few things that influence the global climate.
Please note that I believe than mankind in the recent past has helped to speed up the current warming trend. Even leaving cars out of the argument, we have created heat islands(cities) that help warm up areas around them higher than the surrounding countryside. How about the refrigerators and air conditioners that people have to cool things down with. In the process of exchanging or moving heat out of one area and into another more heat is created from the mechanical devices used to do this with. So even with just those two examples we are tending to warm things up.
And please note that many cycles of warming and cooling have happened on the earth. And in the grand scheme of things the earth is actually on a cooling trend until the sun gets hotter and bigger and turns the earth into nothing but hot dirt before it starts to melt it into a boiling blob of stuff once again. Or a black hole rips the earth apart. So glad I won't be around then.
So that is my short and long view on this argument.
I guess I could add that all hotheads getting all steamed up over this subject is helping to warm things up also. Oh wait I just did.

Can't even blame Cro-magnon for this one:
Antarctica Was Once Home To Rainforest, Say Scientists
. . . . According to a study published in the journal Nature, the frozen continent was home to a "near-tropical" rainforest 52 million years ago, when temperatures measured about 68 degrees Fahrenheit. . . .
The study found that sediment cores were studded with pollen from two different environments much warmer than present-day Antarctica. There was evidence of palms, ferns and other trees typical of warm, lowland rainforests like that of Madagascar. There were also samples from beech trees and conifers of the kind found in mountain forest regions. . . .

The issue isn't whether it has been warmer. The issue is what the cause of the warming is.

The issue is whether we are warming at all. We don't have enough data to prove it either way. 40 years ago scientists were warning of a coming ice age. The fact is, they don't know. For it to change like this in 40 years, and to now be a dire disaster in the making is simply ridiculous. The earth has trends that span 10s of thousands of years. We aren't going from an ice age to a greenhouse in 40 years.
And then people have the nerve to call me Chicken Little.

The point is, man -- even Cro-magnon man -- wasn't around 52 million years ago to cause the planet to warm enough for the Antarctica to become a tropical rain forest. Good Ol' Mother Earth managed that all by her lonesome.

Global warming is bs, the government likes the idea because it can raise more taxes in the form of carbon credits.
