Here's a satelite view of North Korea and South Korea taken at night. It shows the bright lights of South Korea and the almost total darkness of North Korea. One picture is worth at least a thousand words.

I know, but I keep hoping that some folks can distinguish a political rant from the stuff that politics just doesn't belong in.

I refuse to believe either party can reasonably "take credit" for the grand canyon. Sadly, they are probably trying to think of a way to do just that.

NOTE: The Grand Canyon image is flipped vertically which gives it the 'raised' look.

Here is what it looks like corrected.

Spent a three days there last year. Third visit. Quite awesome from ground level. Never, never fails to be impressive.

It is spectacular. I have hiked some of it--not as much as I would like to have.

If you enjoy those sights, suggest you also go see the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Not as big, but the combination of depth and narrowness makes the brain scream out "I can't really be seeing this". NW part of Colorado.

Finally, we agree on something! The Grand Canyon is awesome! The Tetons, the Catskills, the Smokies, Yellowstone, Yosemite, etc., are similarly impressive.

How can you hike anywhere when you're in constant fear of an uncontrollable bowel movement, IBSyndrome?

I doubt you've seen any of those places in person!
