You sure love Obama, though, don't you? You never miss a chance to stand up for him. And you certainly think Romney (and others) should play by a stricter set of rules than Obama should have to.

So you're not voting for him? Who then?

I dont stand up for Obie, I unspin the vast majority of bullshit you and others constantly offer everyone, and point out your (in most cases) blatant hypocrisy

Then why for the love of God do you keep your nose up his ass and defend his every stupid move? Who are you voting for? No one?

No one with any sense knows the unemployment figures aren't 8% and no one with the same sense believes there is no inflation.

Default Ugghhhhh!

This is why they say "a little bit of knowledge is a dangersous thing." Well, actually, that's been proven over and over in this National Sandbox Section. This is just the most recent application of this bromide.

THE UNEMPLOYMENT PERCENTAGE AS REPORTED HAS BEEN REPORTED THIS WAY SINCE fuc*ing DAY ONE! And the same is true with every other g/d statistic the government reports.

That stat has always been 2-4 points off. If you're going to read something, know what the hell it is that you are reading in order to actually understand it - and not be a dupe for chickensh*ts like COsFb who think they are masters of the fine print.

This topic is just another example of how COF and his wrong-wing TPunk fellow travellers try to play "gotcha" with drivel.

BTW, the fact that the unemployment rate went UP along with a larger than anticipated increase in jobs means that some people who had given up looking for jobs are now back looking. A sign of optimism, actually. I know, too fine of a point and the ensuing use of gray matter is cause for mass onsets of headaches. Not my problem.

Exclamation Well Suited

Disaster? Give us a break, old geezer!

You state your pompous opinions as though you were some sort of oracle from on high, but you have no credentials whatsoever, only a big mouth that never seems to stop.

You probably even bitch in your sleep, don't you?

Running a country as powerful and diverse as the United States is a complicated business that requires a fine balance of communication finesse, high intelligence, courage and advanced management skills.

President Obama is well suited for high office and has all these qualities, but the economic hole this country was in when he took office was an abyss worse than we imagined.

It would have been really great if the unemployment needle had moved down, especially for the people desperate to pay their mortgage and mountains of bills, but I'm sure even if it had people would find something to bitch about. It was not enough, it did not cover this sector or that.

The fact is that the economy has improved since President Obama has been in office, but no one is saying the job of fixing the economy is finished.

. . . It's a work in progress, but the train is now moving in the right direction!

You are one equivocating jackass, Randy4Candy. You know damn well Odumbo was boastfully taking full credit for the drop in the unemployment rate when those people gave up looking for jobs.

FastGoon, you are nothing if not entertaining. LOL! Your adoration of Obama, while misplaced, is remarkable.

The common refrain is that if there hadn't been two wars, and the tax cuts, the economy would not have been as bad as it was when Bush left office.

Let's see. So what has Obama done to save us? Bush tax cuts - still in force. One war down, one still going, and two more on the horizon.

It seems like Obama is doing exactly the same thing Bush would have done in a third term. So what FastGoon is saying, let's give W a fourth term.

I have no idea why anyone would vote for Obama. He's essentially the same as Bush, but with more expensive health care.

Had there been no housing bubble, which was predicated on criminal banking practices and poor congressional oversight, millions of people would still be employed who are today unemployed. Consequently, there would be fewer people receiving public assistance, and the tax base would be more substantial. Without expanded public assistance and with a more substantial tax base, government spending would not be as proportionally great in relation to GDP as it presently is. If it hadn't been for the bubble, which was predicated on criminal banking practices and poor congressional oversight, the tax cuts and the wars would have been sustainable.

I also have a feeling businesses will cut back on hiring until after the election. Too much uncertainty between now and then.
