Their border bill allowed 5000 a day in. So that was a big no. We need to let zero in.

Oh you mean the bill that failed hugely. Like 41-50. Didn't have great dem. support either and they always vote the party line.

And by the way she basically said a person running for president has more influence than the sitting VP and president.

So who should you vote for????

5000 / day = 1,800,00 / year certainly less than they were letting in before.

Still not even close to where we were before

Looks like your question has already been answered.

Still no Kamala policies?

I'd have been fine keeping Roe v. Wade - let women decide nationwide, but not sure Kamala has even verbalized her policy there though. Otherwise leaning more the other way.

Does Not ‘Accept’ 5,000 Illegal Immigrants a Day

Leading up to the vote, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise on social media said the bill “accepts 5,000 illegal immigrants a day.” Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn added her voice to the opposition, posting that she would “never vote to make illegal immigration legal.”

Those comments misrepresented the bill.

The bill stated that temporary border emergency authority would be automatically activated by the Department of Homeland Security secretary if there is an average of 5,000 or more migrant encounters a day over seven consecutive days — or if there are 8,500 or more such encounters on any single day. In December — according to the latest data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection — there was an average of more than 8,000 encounters a day of migrants who crossed the border illegally between points of entry.
“It’s not that the first 5,000 [migrants encountered at the border] are released, that’s ridiculous,” Lankford said on the Senate floor. “The first 5,000 we detain, we screen and then we deport. If we get above 5,000, we just detain and deport.”

Titled the Emergency National Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, the legislation aimed to solve one of the most contentious political issues of the last several decades. Even though the National Border Patrol Council, the union representing Border Patrol agents, endorsed the bill, Senate Republicans abruptly pulled their support after Trump signaled his disapproval. Ending undocumented immigration has long been a signature campaign issue for Trump, who called the bill a “great gift to the Democrats, and a Death Wish for The Republican Party.”
