I am a "Boss". That means I have the hiring, and firing, power.

Some of the advice you are getting is a good way to find yourself in the unemployment line.

But, don't be discouraged. What you need to do is find a provider that works when you are not working, ie, at night, or week ends. Of course, if you have a SO, you also have to work around that.

One thing you need to be on guard against is not the first time, but the 2d, 3d, and so on. Remember, this stuff can be very addictive. You might not think at this time that you could get into trouble, but there is always the possibility that the little head does all the thinking, and you start putting the Hobby before everything.

That is when you will find yourself in a world of hurt.

Many of us who are older, are more self reliant, and above all, have no SO to answer to, really have it a lot easier than you. Good Luck.

I am happy for you that you have a job, that you are working full time (at least), and that you at least have the time to post a thread and keep up with the fantasy world on this board. Especially in today's times.

That is a cold hard fact, lucky for me I work afternoons, and have my own business. Most of the time I book ahead, not too often spare of the moment type stuff. Waiting to hit the lotto, then I would be full time 18 hr. Days hobbying. Probably be dead in 6 months to, but what a way to go.

On a project I was on for a couple of years - My office was at an engineering house where my company is a client. The other people on the project (my company) were gone at a construction location most of the time. Consequently I could slip out with impunity for nooners are a SC visit. Electonic monitoring of coming and going was absent. There any number of reasons I can say why I was gone to anyone who seemed suspicious - project site, downtown home office, etc. I would probably slip out like this about once a week for periods of 2-3 hours or sometimes the whole afternoon. The destination would be either a Palace Inn to meet a girl or a Strip Club. The employees of the Engineering house were focused on their own stuff and problems. I gave everyone my standard propagana line of God / Family / Career. I never mentioned anything about the hobby. If people from my project (company) were present I stayed put. It was great payback for a CS place I worked years ago where they monitored how much you took for lunch, spied on you, etc. I stuck it those corp sob's bigtime! I sure miss that project it was a gravy train / easy ride all the way. It cured the anger attacks I would have in the car while commuting when my thoughts turned to a couple of CS jerks I had worked for over the years.

I would not recommend playing hookey from work to see strippers or providers unless in some unique situation like I was. Even then you need to be on the lookout. In my situation, my long periods of being absent meant I was probably in a meeting at the home office or at the project site.
