Finally... some sanity about the Super Bowl Hooker Myth

It's all about scaring up the next sensational event that will require the media to create, investigate, and come up with nothing of any substance. I lived in Tempe, AZ during Super Bowl in 1996. All kinds of nonsense was spread around in advance of the Cowboys and Steelers coming to town. I lived near the ASU campus and the stadium. People said those coming to town would pay top dollar to rent rooms and such for the game. ASU actually shut down classes the Thursday and Friday before the game expecting such throngs of people. That was all stupid. None of the high-rollers wanted to rent an apartment in Tempe when they could stay at a fine resort in Scottsdale. And make no mistake, the people coming to the Super Bowl are not blue-collar folks working down at the steel mill or the paper mill. These are wealthy folks with lots of money to spread around at the finest establishments. I actually went to some of the parties around town just to see what happened. The celebs walked through and into the private rooms. Only person I actually spoke with was Joe Theismann. He hung with us in the rabble for few minutes and actually spoke with people until his wife?date?escort? arrived and then it was off to the VIP.
Most of Dallas and Ft. Worth will find nothing different this week than any other week, except for the best clubs, the best hotels, the best restaurants.

As for the escort invasion - I think the ladies who know, know that Dallas is well-stocked with the best of the best and in large numbers. I travel far and wide and would rather hobby in Dallas and Houston than any place in the world. I suspect the savvy high-rollers have already done their homework and booked some of Dallas' finest - or they brought their own favorites with them.

Ladies, have fun. Guys, stay with the locals - too many great ladies in Dallas to get distracted by out-ot-towners.

I cannot BELIEVE the ridiculous inflation of numbers that are being thrown around. Way to go, Shapiro Law Firm, nice ad- er, uh "press release." Forty THOUSAND? Really? And exactly how are they going to get here? In salt trucks?

After days on end of being stranded in hotel rooms, people just want to get out to party together and watch a football game. If LE was hoping to make a bunch of money from P busts, their plan was an epic fail. Mother Nature trumps all. And damn that global warming, too!
