This would not be correct, as members accounts are not listed as "account frozen" just because they made several password attempts and were temporarily locked out. You can retry to log in again a short time later.


An "account frozen" would be for rules violations.

correct, his handle got frozen by the staff. they do that to prevent the poster from continuing to make potentially misleading posts that they feel are harmful rather than just wait and see and ban them.


strokey isn't banned but his account is suspended. for how long will be interesting to see. unlike a (non-permanent) ban that has an end date i think the staff can leave an account suspended indefinitely. they usually restore the account after some time with the usual "supreme directive" not to repeat the offense.

McDingDong was my guru, my swami and my maharishi. I studied his every word.

This is no great mystery. If you study his collected works here on eccie, he told you exactly what he did and exactly what he was going to do -- how to close a thread, how to re-start a thread that was closed, and what he was going to do to Oeb's threads.

He made me mad when he closed my COVID Boosters thread. And he made me doubly mad when he shut down one of Vitamin's threads that I was having fun with. But you know what, this was his way of teaching.

As a result, I've finally abandoned my attempts to bring enlightenment to the COVID unbelievers. McDingDong showed me it was like banging my head against a brick wall. If you can't even get them to correctly divide one number by another number and express it as a percentage, how are are you going to convince them COVID was a much bigger threat than the flu.

And McDingDong's had at least one small victory in his crusade against TDS. I have now come to recognize that Trump had his good points too, at least sufficient to put him in the same tier of presidents as Joe Biden, Barrack Obama, and George W. Bush. Which actually isn't saying much.

Look what he accomplished with Oeb, who in recent days has started a thread here and there, and otherwise consolidated his thoughts into other's threads.

Now we don't know what really happened to McDingDong. His profile says he's "frozen", but then The_Waco_Kid's says "AKA MAGA Gurl." Perhaps he's still here, and shall emerge at the time he deems appropriate. Or perhaps he has passed on into another dimension, another world, or another reality, never to return. That I believe is more likely.

Regardless Strokey McDingDong, this forum owes you a debt of gratitude. And I do too. May you Rest In Peace.
